A friend of mine took a road trip through europe a few weeks ago and posted an incredibly inspiring photo of Seceda in Italy. I had to use it as a reference for a study!

I’m still trying to figure out how I can capture depth and those finer, smaller details. I’m also still trying to work out which brushes really ‘click’ for me when drawing environments. I tried a new brush set that helped a bit, you can find it here: http://cbr.sh/bzotu4?ref=loish

Oh, just remembered! You have been talking about "sculpting" when you are drawing lately. This person has a really interesting process (and outcome!) that I dig that feels alot like sculpting to me. https://www.deviantart.com/ilikeyoursensitivity I am just in love with their lighting and the soft transitions. :D

that's a bummer! maybe they have the same brush set hosted elsewhere too?

hey riley! unfortunately there will be no pdf version, it will only be hardcopy. sorry about that!

that brought me back for sure!! I follow them on deviantart and loved their soft painting style. too bad they kind of stopped posting everywhere. I wonder what happened to them!

I keep coming back to the way that upper right corner cloud creates an uneven mixed soft and hard edge so the corner of the painting disappears into the margins. It feels lively and has drawn my interest every time I checked my email since you posted.
