I wanted to do some super dynamic jumping sketches, and try some brushes and a painting style that further enhanced the movement. Reference from the awesome Adorkastock (formerly senshistock), I am so grateful to stock models that post pics of dynamic movements like this!

So beautiful. Really like how the background lines enhance the movement. Would you ever consider doing a mini-tutorial on how you approach hatching in your drawings and paintings?

Loish

that is an excellent idea for a tutorial or step-by-step! thanks for this suggestion, I've added it to the list :)

Loish

weirdly enough my computer crashed for part of the process and ruined the process vid, but I will see if I can salvage anything!

I love the stock photos, specially the one of the girl who seems to have died by landing on the box LOL

So cool! I love seeing how you took and reference and really made it your own. I struggle a lot with taking the reference images too seriously and trying to copy them too exactly, which leads to frustration. So seeing how you tweaked their poses to create something even more dynamic is inspiring 😍

Loish

thank you! my latest tutorial talks about this a lot by the way - as someone who learned how to draw from copying, sometimes I get into this weird comfort zone of just copying something exactly and then I'm not learning as much from it!

Loish

haha they're awesome right? I love it when stock models get adventurous with the poses.

Loish

I think the closest one to that would be the pose construction tutorial! https://www.patreon.com/posts/tutorial-video-38377684

Love your style!!! I’m soo jealous in a good way! I try daily to sketch and I haven’t found my style yet😅 and sometimes I feel my anatomy isn’t on point… but when I try to get some influence from your artwork everything looks better 💜

Loish

thank you so much! it's all part of a process, so don't pressure yourself too much :)
