A quick study that I turned into a scene with a character in it :) I worked on this while it was snowing outside! It all melted away by now though. We don't get a lot of snow here in the netherlands anymore sadly!

Same in Canada, specifically close to the border with the US. It makes me so sad because I love snow!

*Screeches* I love the fade effect and I’m oddly really liking the cable lines design? ( Probably brush) lol. But what really caught my attention was the plants to the bottom left, like... It added such a realistic element to the picture. I know it might come off as insignificant, but I really admire the attention to detail!

I love the atmosphere in this piece, it brought back some memories from skiing trips in my childhood.

This is my new screensaver hehe! I love when so zoom in and can see the fantastic brushstrokes, my brain fills in the detail from a distance. Super cool :)

I've never seen snow in person but this picture really makes me feel like I've experienced it. The blue tones really gives me a calm feeling. Really liking this piece :D

thank you! it's a really interesting experience, because everything gets really quiet when there's snow because it absorbs a lot of sound. hopefully you can experience it one day! :)

That’s super sad about not getting snow there any more🙁. We’re having the leanest snow year here ever - east coast of Canada. But apparently it’s a La Niña year so we don’t get as much snow. I’m hoping that’s the reason and that other years we will still have great winters! Maybe it’s affecting your weather this year too?

I heard about the ice skating race or something in Amsterdam when we lived there. It seemed like so much fun! Utrecht was really nice too, always got lost there. =D Really lovely study <3

This is a magical painting! I feel the same way...moved from New York to California. Beautiful weather here but will miss the snow.

Thanks greg! I usually add some saturated outlines around certain shapes to separate them from the background and add an extra pop of color!

snow is majestic! but the cold really wears on me during the winter, maybe one day I'll move somewhere warmer.
