The second process video in watercolor! Again, had to edit out some parts because my head dipped in, but for the most part the full process is on there. I sped it up 2x, and you can adjust the speed to be faster or slower with the gear button. 

This one was more painterly than the mushrooms and a bit harder to do, but I really enjoyed gradually layering on the shadows. From this process I learned that the key to painting in watercolor is to know which areas need to stay light, and focus on shadows / details later in the process. This gives so much luminosity in the end because the lightness of the paper is so much brighter than any paint! I used masking fluid for the tree trunks, and used a mix of daniel smith and winsor & newton watercolors.

Sorry if you've answered this elsewhere, but what set up do you use to film? Is there a way to film for hours without using loads of storage space/battery power? Ps loving these traditional media explorations!

thanks so much chloe! I use my iphone 11 pro, with one of those flexible clamps to hold it in place. It's the one with max storage and I just hook it up to the charger if the battery is low. so far it's worked quite well to make process vids!
