Here’s part 2 of the thumbnailing process for my procreate commission! You can find part 1 here. Hope you find it useful! I’m making a procreate tutorial this month, so if you have any questions after watching this, post it below! I’ll see if I can address that topic in the tutorial!

Again, more info about the procreate brushes I like to use here (includes links): https://www.patreon.com/posts/step-by-step-i-34615265

So excited for the tutorial on Procreate! In the tutorial, can you talk about different tricks you have to save time when you draw? 💜

Procreate Tip: Beside some gesture shortcuts like two finger tap for “undo”, you can also connect a Bluetooth keyboard. Procreate supports keyboard shortcuts, too. Maybe this could speed up you process even more 😉

Thank you for showing us how you use procreate! I’m still learning all the cool features and you definitely are a pro. Thank you.

This is amazing, thank you so much for sharing this with us! I really love the last one, too! As for the Procreate video, I would just like to see your coloring process of a character from start to end, describing the steps like you do here, with the tricks you use in procreate - the gradients you do is awesome, I was wondering how you do it, since it's missing compared to Photoshop - so tricks like that, you are used to do in Photoshop , but how you figure it out in Procreate :)

Loish

thanks! i think that's how i will approach it - just showing my full process and some of the workarounds I have to use in procreate.

Loish

thanks for that tip! i have to say, this is by far my biggest struggle in procreate, since I'm so used to keyboard shortcuts. switching to gestures is so counter-intuitive for me haha.

Thanks for sharing! I bought procreate just a few weeks ago and it's amazing but I am having a problem with the timelapse video. In the videos the colors are too satured , different from the original drawing. This happens only in the timelapse videos, I dont know why. Can someone help me with this? 😭

So cool to see your approach to Procreate! Something happens at 27:38 that’s a bit confusing to me though. You seem to switch between paintbrush and eraser without touching the eraser icon and the sliders start to move on their own. Are you using something offscreen to make these things happen?

MarcyRangel

The apple pencil 2nd generation can erase if you tap 2 times in the side of it! I'm pretty sure she did that... But I dont know about the sliders haha

I have just finished watching part2 and it was a joy to watch.... the music, the pieces you created, the way you came alive those characters... I loved the atmosphere and it was so relaxing and useful watching it. Thank you. 🥰

Thanks Loish for sharing this amazing piece! In particular, I'm glad that you explained the process and the concept of brushes !! I wanted to see how to use Procreate brushes. I also want to see coloring process like this video! Please consider it! I love you Loish, you are the best artist!

Loish

i will definitely try that in the future! thanks for your kind words, i'm glad you liked it :)

Loish

thanks! that is because it switched between pen and eraser. the apple pencil has a thing where if you tap on it, it switches to a different tool. and it often interpreted my movements as taps even when it was uninentional, that often resulted in the sliders moving like that.

Loish

that's so frustrating! i have no idea why but definitely recommend reaching out to procreate about it. i have noticed that the colors are quite different between the ipad and my computer screen but i assumed it was because of the screens themselves. sorry i can't help you more!

Wow! Thank you Loish! I look forward to it🤩✨✨💕💓‼️

I talked to them and they said me they're already aware of this problem! It seems like it's a bug from the 5x update, they will fix it as soon as they can 😊

I really like this kind of video where you talk about the creative choices that you make and why you make them.

Super fun to watch you work through the process!

Hi, was there ever a part 3 to this video, I can’t seem to find it? Also will you be doing some more procreate tutorials soon? Thanks ☺️

Loish

hey danielle! there was never a part 3, this process consists of two parts :) as for a procreate tutorial, i do plan on making one soon, although i'm not sure when exactly!
