The month has almost come to an end! Time to let you guys know how this month has been for me:

PERSONAL LIFE

July was a rough month for me, sadly. Me and Arjen got sick which was kind of scary, but we both tested negative for covid so that was a relief! I had to take a week off to recover though, and soon after that I heard that my mother and stepfather had tested positive for covid. A couple days after that, I lost my grandfather. He was very old and we knew that he didn’t have long left, so I knew it was coming and that made it less difficult. But the timing was awful with my mom in quarantine. I couldn’t believe that all this was happening at once! I was super overwhelmed, but things are going a lot better now. Me and Arjen recovered and so did my stepfather and mom, with very mild symptoms! When I think of my grandfather, I smile because he had a wonderful life that he lived to the fullest. I didn’t get as much time as I would have liked to draw this month, but I tried to focus on other stuff that was more manageable to do, like sharing tips, info, and insights about my client work.

FIRST Q&A VIDEO

I made my first video where I answer questions and talk about a topic in a kind of improvisational way. I really loved making that for you guys! It felt authentic to share my knowledge in this way and I feel like I was showing more of who I am and what I think, which makes the connection with you guys so much more personal. I definitely want to do more of these kinds of videos in the future! If you have any ideas for topics you’d like me to discuss, just drop them in the comments below.

OVER 2K PATRONS

This month, we passed 2K patrons! That is so awesome. I really appreciate all the support you guys give and I’m always looking forward to my daily patreon check-in to see what comments and messages you guys have sent. Having this little community truly feels like a safe and warm place for me to return to. Thank you guys so much! I will keep making content for you and doing my best to share knowledge! Next month I’m making a tutorial on face construction and expressions, I hope some of you will stick around to see it!

I hope you enjoyed this month’s content! I'll be sending out links to this month's google drive folder today. If you have any feedback or questions, please feel free to share them with me through a direct message or e-mail to business@loish.net. Any and all feedback is welcome! I hope you’ll continue to be my patron and enjoy the content coming up next month! ❤

Sorry for such a tough time. But I am surprised how active you still were this month even you had so much going on. Super women! 😊

Really sorry to hear about your loss :'( It's amazing that you still managed to post so much through it all ... Wishing you strength to be able to persevere 😊 I loved the improvisational nature of the Q and A 's . A video wherein you go over your art heroes and influences would be cool ! :D

So sorry to hear about the loss of your grandpa :( I'm glad he had a long and fulfilling life but it must have been overwhelming with everything going on. Thank you so much for all the things you've shared this month, they've been incredibly helpful, and the video format has been awesome. Take care and take it easy on yourself!

Sorry to hear about your loss. I've lost my grandparents too and I miss them so much, and that never goes away. But we'll always have the memories of them, to make us feel they are always with us. This might be a little childish and silly, but after watching the lion king in the cinema, I always liked the idea that the stars are our ancestors. So every now and then, when I'm feeling a little blue at night, I look at the starts and I feel like they are watching over me :)

that's beautiful! i'm not spiritual but ideas like that are very comforting and i often believe them. i just can't fathom someone's protective and loving spirit suddenly being gone. even if it's only in my heart, it lives on for me.
