The end of the month is already here! I feel like time is flying by so fast in these corona times, it's just so weird. Do you guys have that too?

I really appreciate all of your support this month!! Here’s a quick review of how this month went for me:

FIRST TUTORIAL

This was my first month creating a tutorial instead of a sketchbook tour! It actually went a lot better than expected. Tutorials are usually quite painstaking for me to make because I’m a perfectionist and end up spending lots of time on editing and making sure I say the exact right words in the voice-over. For this tutorial, I changed the format a bit and just talked casually while drawing, which was a lot easier and felt more natural. I really enjoyed making this one and I’m looking forward to making another one next month!

DRAWING FROM THE IMAGINATION

I’ve been spending less time on studies and more time just drawing random characters from the imagination! That’s a sign that I’m feeling more inspired and recharged creatively. Focusing on sketches and studies in the previous months has gotten my ideas flowing and has sparked my imagination. I hope you like some of the characters I created, I might dive more deeply into the world they live in for future paintings!

SKETCHBOOK & IPAD

I’ve been leaning more towards sketching in my sketchbook and on my iPad lately, because the summer weather has been really inviting and it’s so tempting to work outside! I’ve even started finishing up some of my paintings on the iPad, which is something I usually avoid because I always felt more comfortable in Photoshop. However, I’m finding that procreate is working better for trying different brushes and textures, so I might be doing this more often in the future! If I do, I’ll be putting together a resource with nice brushes for rendering and adding finishing touches to digital paintings.

I hope you enjoyed this month’s content! I'll be sending out links to this month's google drive folder today. If you have any feedback or questions, please feel free to share them with me through a direct message or e-mail to business@loish.net. Any and all feedback is welcome! I hope you’ll continue to be my patron and enjoy the content coming up next month! ❤

Great progress! The main reason I subscribed to your patreon was seeing the tutorials and process videos. Looking forward to seeing more :)

I just finished watching your tutorial and great job! It's very concise and informative. I love your art because it's always so dynamic and the tutorial really helped to see how you get there. I'm definitely going to try to incorporate your techniques in future sketches. Thanks Loish!

Doing something about final rendering and finishing touches would be great. I find it very hard moving from the design to polishing phase without it looking disjointed! Thanks for the great content this month, I loved seeing how you approached other subjects

I'd love a video on how to improve your artwork, specially portraits, I feel like I can do a lot with reference but still cannot put on paper what I imagine, and really don't really know how to improve, even though I'm painting most of my day :(

I feel you time is definitely sprinting forward. I personally hate how all the days seem to blend into each other

that's a good one! perhaps i can divide it into parts, finalizing something that I set up in an earlier tutorial.
