My world feels like a tiny little bubble lately with this quarantine lifestyle! I’ve been spending a lot of time hanging out in my backyard, and thus came the inspiration to draw some of the plants that we have growing there. Our garden was nothing but sand a year ago, but now it’s really starting to bloom and come to life! Hope you like these studies - it's been fun breaking out of the character art to sketch 'props' like this.

I love how minimalistic and to the point these are! They all capture the unique shapes and features of the plants without overtly a billion extra details 🥰😍😍

Love seeing the scope of your expression.

Loish, you are so exceptional at figures that it is exciting to see you break away and use your mastery on other subject matter. Maybe landscapes someday?

Love seeing your style in studying other stuffs than your usual illustrations! It's impressive how much it feels like your style even when you do plants or animals studies :)

thank you! i was always afraid that i wouldn't be able to keep my style but i'm now learning that i can expand my style to fit in more things than i thought at first.

thank you! i'm trying to be more efficient in how I detail things like this. in my older workflow it would have taken me twice as long but lasso tool is making a big difference these days.

thanks so much! i'm glad you are enjoying it. it's scary to move outside of what i'm "known for" drawing because I'm not sure it will hold people's interest. but this platform and your support is making all of that possible for me.
