I wanted to do some anatomy studies focused around shapes - trying to exaggerate or simplify them so that the shapes were more expressive. I got a bit frustrated during the process and I’m not sure if these really worked out the way I wanted. This is generally a stage that I’m at right now - I want to stylize more, but I’m not totally sure in which direction, so I end up getting kind of stuck in the middle. Gotta keep at it! I hope you like them :)

Hi Loish, looking great as always :) And I don't feel the stylizing ended up in the middle to be honest , these are some pretty clear choices you made so 'it works'! I have been using this site for good reference, https://skalgubbar.se/ from Sweden, the clothing is a little more up to date than most stock, maybe it also works for you, greetings and hou je goed!

Hello Loish, as always your sketches always makes me look at how much more we can do with reference and how we could change our way of looking at then. i really like the way you have adjusted the colors and the way you are experimenting with the proportions :). by any chance will we gat to see your process video on this one?

Loish

I would love to see more male sketches from you! I've always found it easier to draw females, so these types of studies are very helpful.

Loish

thanks! definitely plan on making more studies like this. right now i'm working on a new sketchbook tour and it has more male sketches in it as well.
