My second sketch book tour is finally here! This book covers a lot of big events in my life, so I talk a bit about those things in this video. It’s mostly inktober stuff, so you might recognize a lot of the pages. There’s a lot of little sketches and studies I did for the inktober pieces on the left page, which hopefully gives some insights into how I approach these pieces.

Here are some of the gifs that were referenced in the video, in which I expressed what an emotional rollercoaster it is for me to create inked artwork 😂

Don’t forget to vote on which sketchbook tour I should do next month! And if you want me to focus on anything specific when talking about the sketches, let me know and I will keep it in mind when filming my next tour :) As always, thanks so much for your support!! ❤

I know this was so long ago Loish but OMG this sketchbook tutorial really touched me in so many ways & I have to say that your piece with your kitty was my favorite! I've had that kind of relationship with my 1st chihuahua dog as a teenager before she passed away & you could just feel the emotional turmoil but so much piece you felt from being with her at the same time! 💔🐈

Loish

i'm glad you enjoyed it clarissa! there's nothing like that deep bond you have with your first pet.

Don’t mind me, I’m just crying about Charlie. Thanks for sharing. 💕

Loish

haha. that part made my boyfriend cry too. it was just so hard, but i guess losing pets is just what happens eventually.

Ahhh i got teary eyed at the charlie parts, i remember you updating your instagram at the time it was so heartbreaking. On another completely irrelevant note it was so funny to me when you said "i think it is an iguana" because i come from colombia and they are so common to pass by on the street hahahaha Thank you so much for these lovely videos 🥰🥰

Divi (Lovewin)

Aww I got so sad at the parts about your cat. This video was wonderful and I loved your process with inktobers. Thank you

I can’t tell you how inspiring and meaningful it is to hear you talk through your approach, which decisions you’ve made that you think worked and didn’t, how you’ve grown and changed and what it was you were trying to accomplish. Thank you so much for doing these! It’s brave and inspiring and very few artists have the courage to share in this way. :)

Thank you so much for sharing! I'm heartbroken about Charlie and very sorry for your loss. Your video is truly inspiring, I had to pause it at some point to take my sketchbook and to some sketches :D

Loish

This is my favorite one so far :) definitely cried at the kitty parts (thank God I watched this at home!), my cats are my babies and one of my worst fears is losing them. Thank you for sharing, I enjoyed seeing your beautiful work as always!

Loish

sorry i made you cry ;____; losing pets is just the worst fucking thing, i'm seriously holding off on getting a new pet because i don't want to go through that again.

I'm sitting here balling my eyes out T_T .. I'm so sorry you had to lose your precious kitty, I can't imagine what it's like! My dog is getting old and I just can't even think about this... Thank you for sharing your personal stuff!

Loish

oh, so sorry to make you cry ;___; losing a pet is just the worst. i miss charlie every day! but our neighbor's cat is dropping by for a visit every day and that's helping a lot, hehe. hug your dog!!

It's September 20 now, this tour was SO inspiring for the upcoming Inktober - very much looking forward to what you're going to come up with this year! Also, really sad to hear the story about Charlie. My 2 kitties passed away in the same winter 3 years ago, and I still miss them.

Loish

ah, so sorry to hear that you lost your kitties too! for this year I'm probably not gonna be joining on inktober. after doing it for 2 years i feel like the challenge is not as refreshing as it was the first time! I might dive into a different medium this year, like paints.

Your sketch of you and your kitty made me cry!! I recently lost a pet too, and it's the hardest thing in the world. I love the emotion and closeness you achieved with it ugh so good.

Loish

thank you. I'm so sorry you lost a pet, I'm still processing it and it's been 3 years. wishing you lots of strength in your healing!
