Hey there everyone and welcome to a new development blog, this time focused on our first Biotech mod!

We have been fortunate enough to get access to Biotech a while early, so we've already started working on quite a few Biotech mods. Saurids is the first of many to come, and it's already pretty much complete. I will be uploading it to Steam Workshop in the coming days (just a few more fixes to do).

I will now proceed with your favourite image spam, as images of the infographic describe what the mod comes with fully.


Of course the faction is not necessary to enjoy this mod and can easily be set not to spawn - saurids will appear naturally with pirates and outlanders, although at low percentage.

The mod also comes with a following starting scenario:

THE SAURID

Summary: One crashlanded saurid parent with 4 eggs that need protection and care. Extra difficult.

Description: Facing difficulties and abuse, you were forced to abandon your way of life and hitched a ride on one of the short distance transport vessels. You were only able to take what matters most to you - your eggs. They are the only reminder of your long gone partner, and you promised to raise them no matter the cost. Not long after the departure, the pilot and his goons decided to take your money and eject you into the wilderness.

Note: Since you start with nothing except 4 saurid eggs, this is a difficult scenario.

Your faction will be New Arrivals.

Start with one adult saurid and 4 children of that saurid, as eggs with 10% progress on them.
