Vanilla Lore Expanded Progress update (Patreon)

Hey folks and welcome to a progress update for Vanilla Lore Expanded!

I can now fully confirm that the book has been finished. It went through numerous rewrites, edits, layout changes, tweaks, grammar and spelling checks, but finally the absolutefinalbook.pdf has been created.

We have also created a trimmed down, free version which will release alongside it for everyone. It's essentially a small, ~50 page version that only goes into detail about the stuff you can read in the official RimWorld Lore Primer - technology, mechanoids, different factions and so on.

What's happening now?

We are now preparing the actual release - I need to assemble some sort of printing instructions if you'd like to get your book printed. I need to also prepare the delivery method. The way the full book will be distributed is here, through Patreon.

I will make a post for Silver-tier patrons and higher with the book attachment. If you'd like to get access to the book and you aren't a Silver tier patron or higher, I really recommend upping your pledge to $5 for at least one month. Once you download the book you can always go down to Steel tier. I think the 5$ donation is an apt reward for all the hard work we put into this project, that after all took a year to make.

I have already sent an order to the printing company I work with to print a few copies for myself. These books should arrive in two days and I will be able to see if the PDF I've created is indeed Print-ready.

An anonymous Patron also donated money to print a few more books, with a request that we make them a reward in some sort of competition here on Patreon, so this will be a great opportunity to have the book shipped to you! I just need to come up with the competition idea.

Selling the book

The book will not be available for sale, our license with Ludeon Studios prohibits that. You are of course able to print the book for your own personal use. 

Of course it goes without saying but noone can print the book and sell it on, and noone can share the Patron only PDF with people who are not patrons. Of course if you want to show the book to your friends and family, that's fine, I won't send hitmen after you, but please do not re-share our hard work for free anywhere. We really worked our sweet butts off here.

When will the book be out?

The book will be out in the coming days. Definitely this month. Potentially on 24th of August.
