[DEVBLOG#198] Vanilla Psycasts Expanded - final infographics (Patreon)
Content
Hello everyone and welcome to a development blog that's meant to showcase the full scope of our most ambitious mod yet. That's right, this post is about Vanilla RimJob World Expanded... I mean, Vanilla Psycasts Expanded.
What you're about to see is the final content of the mod, with final stats that won't be changed anymore, at least not if we can help it.
There was a lot of shuffling around and drafting the road ahead - we had to cut away some paths as there is simply too much work for them to be included in the initial release. Each Psycasting path is dozens of hours of work, if not more. It's the initial ability design, art and effects, initial coding, bug fixing, balancing pass etc etc.
To avoid feature creep, we had to make some cuts, so you won't get 200 new Psycasts for launch. We do plan to eventually add the 5 paths that didn't make the cut for the release, don't worry.
I can confirm that enemies from the Tribes and the Empire can arrive with Psycasters and will actually use the abilities against you! It's a great opportunity to capture some sweet psycasters to recruit / consume via the drain psyessence.
I can also confirm that we are adding a brand new storyteller, Basilicus Bestower, who unlocks the psylink chance for every single pawn. If you liked getting raided by dozens of wizards from RimWorld of Magic, this will have a similar effect! Of course, everything is adjustable with the sexiest of all sliders!
Without further a-do, let's take a look at the infographics. If you're not interested in them, scroll to the bottom, there's a bit more that I'd like to share.
That's potentially the longest infographic we've done so far. Exciting.
So yeah, I have some exciting news. I bought myself a new vacuum cleaner, cordless one. Pretty sweet, I no longer get tangled in the cables.
On another note, the Lorebook is on track to be entering final editing and prototyping this month. I have just commissioned artworks worth a lot of money for the final few pages, and then it's just the matter of assembling it in Adobe InDesign fully. We are closing in on 200 pages, and I envision it will release next month.
As I previously said: I can't sell the physical copy. I will not offer the book for sale - I will however provide you with the necessary files and the website if you want. If you'd be interested however in me sorting it out for you, I might be able to print a few more and send them over to yous, in hardback cover, provided you pay for printing and shipping. This is not a sale, you won't get a receipt from me, I only offer to sort out the printing for you. Anyway, this is probably something we will sort in Direct messages when the book is ready.
Oh, I'm also going to meet Sarg in September. I know, exciting stuff, right? Crossover of the century.
See you later!
