Heeeeello everyone.

Got another batch of the infographics for the Ancients mod. I'd like to confirm that the mod will go into testing by the end of this week, and considering I am going on holidays roughly when the mod enters testing, it will probably take 2 or 3 weeks to test it and then a week to record a video and release it.

So, worst case scenario, in 30 days from now you will be playing with the Ancients mod.

Before that of course you will get Architect furniture module, and after that you will get RimEffect - Asari and the Reapers.

And then... well, you know the roadmap.

Anyway, let's take a look at infographics!

For the large locked door, instead of crumbling to dust what if it opened up part way and jammed there unable to open further or close so you'd have a "broken vault door" on either side of an opening in the middle? Being a 3 wide vault door could leave a 1 wide gap between the two 1x1 broken vault doors

Mending tables with increased moddability, it looks like! I hope this makes the other mending mod mostly obsolete.

I think it would be cool to have interrogations and intimidation outside of isolationism, but I would understand if it breaks balancing if you could just beat up your tribal prisoners for information on locations of ancient X-Men vaults

While I'm grabbing this one regardless, would be nice if the wall lights were added to like, Furniture Expanded considering it's already craftable and arguably fits better there than here.

Can't wait! I already created a draft for ideology for this playthrough :P I think I'll create some colonists as well to make this more personal.

Another quickie if you dont mind, does this mod come with a nifty new icon for the player faction similar to how vikings does it?

I thing we really need interogate interaction for everyone, or at least for supremacists, raiders, pain-worshippers etc

Quite, though I can see why they did it this way - wall lights are kind of essential for vault generation, I would assume, and Vanilla Expanded mods don't tend to have any more requirements than absolutely necessary.

Why? You don't exactly have Cassandra's dress, Phoebe's jacket or Randy's coat and bandana in the game. It's just a storyteller. From gameplay perspective: I see no need to add new weapons and armors with this mod. There is already loads of guns and armors we've added with our mods, and Ancients simply use similar tech to that you could find in ancient dangers - assault rifles, occasional powered marine armor and synthread clothes.

I hope you see it as I see it: While it would be cool to add 'imperial wh40k' looking armor, doing armor takes so much time it's simply not worth it in this very case.

I imagine it's a limitation since they aren't using any frameworks or modding for supporting a 3x1 door. It seems like it's not really even a "door", but an impassible object meant to look like one. It's an efficient use of time though. Vanilla doors expanded would be really neat just gonna say.

True, this most popular Mending mod is too OP, even if you trying to restrain yourself somehow, like mend only items with better quality etc. Mending bench from this mod is very promising to be fair.

Sounds to me like there's a case for an ancient wall light that switches to a duller, red light during solar flares: in keeping with the solar flare synergy these have. Besides, there's already Prefab and Helixen wall lights: one tailored to ancients wouldn't be exceptional.

Are we gonna be able to repair Quest/merchant exclusive weapons such as crypto and plasma at the repair bench? I know the mechanics shelf from spacer furniture lets us, but I like the idea of taking responsibility for my equipment.

Do you want us to release a buggy mod? Tynan pushed a new update to base Rimworld yesterday which broke map generation, rendering around 30% of the mod broken.
