Here is August's haul of new assets, covering Military, modern/commercial and scifi/cyberpunk.

Before I get into that, I want to talk about some stylistic changes you'll find across most of the new objects. Moving forward, I won't be adding shadows to dungeondraft objects by default. I originally included basic drop-shadows so that I could build maps as quickly as possible, but now that I'm working towards broader usability and compatibility with other assets, the shadows have got to go.

Additionally, I'm moving to a 2 pixel black stroke around objects instead of the original 1 pixel stroke. Most of you are exporting at lower resolutions where a single pixel is easily lost. 2px reads well, but keeps with HellScape's more realistic style. At some point I will be revisiting older assets to bring them up to speed.

The updates

First up, I finally have an update for the Military pack. You'll find the first implementation of the 'Gun Builder' system. You can use these parts to cobble together your own projectile weapons, be they point-defense guns on a starship, or a deadly turret emplacement. Check out Baileywiki's great tutorial for making your own assets using nothing but Dungeondraft. Using his method, you could prepare guns for map making, or even have them ready for use as an enemy or tile object in your VTT!

You will also find many new clutter items that fit in a military theme. Chem lights, MRE meals, zipcuffs and boots are ready to be scattered around your outposts and bases.

The shipping containers are now fully colorable without artifacts.

Finally, I've added three somewhat common aircraft weapons, all perfectly to scale with their real-world counterparts. We have an AIM-9X advanced heat-seeking missile, a GBU bomb and a CBU cluster bomb. They are generic enough that they wouldn't look out of place on a space ship, or you could add missiles to your Gun Builder turret!

Tech ship now includes 'Hologram Builder' parts. I've included many generic symbols, asteroids and interfaces to place above the existing Tactical Tables. Don't miss the new path for making holographic lines if you don't find the pre-made ones to your liking.

Speaking of paths, have a look at the new wire-bundle path. This trope is practically indispensable for any modern or futuristic setting, including cyberpunk worlds.

I'm excited to release my first take on high-tech consoles, displays and interfaces. Tech-ship now has several different styles of touch-screen displays, all with colorable graphic overlays. TNG-like support pillars are included, as well as a cockpit-like object should you wish to build your own fighter-craft. A lower-tech 'steam-gauge' control panel is included too, perfect for settings that lean more towards BSG.

The angled monitors also include several colorable overlays. Looking for an even slicker appearance? Make your 'display' using a pattern shape, and drop these overlays on top to build a huge touch interface in any shape you can imagine.

The ejection-style seats now have versions without the joystick cutout. And speaking of seating, have a look at the new curved benches and matching tables.

For you map-makers in modern and post-apocalyptic settings, Scrapers now includes new and rusted shopping cars, sub-way/metro style turnstiles, subway-style benches, vending machines, public trash bins and commercial mop buckets. Note that the vending machines and trash bins will be colorable as soon as I can get DD to cooperate.

Escalators are now a thing! Use the 'end' object by holding A to flip it, and rotate it 180 degrees. I recommend using the shadow paths to help 'sell' that these escalators increase in height. For those of you on Foundry VTT, you may wish to use the raw asset (attached below). Combined with Parallaxia, you can get your escalators moving in no time. Just don't forget to set the tile-picker to 256px before placing your tiles.

The Wastes has several new objects, but they're currently refusing to show up in Dungeondraft. That pack will be updated to include parking lot objects once I get everything sorted out.

Head to the Start Here post to download the latest versions, and as always, thank you for your continued support. Have you made something cool? Tweet it to me @HellscapeA! I'd love to see it.
