Ginger: A couple of days ago, Nvidia introduced a new generation of RTX video cards. I must admit that I was very much waiting for this moment. I have long dreamed of upgrading my PC, and gradually saved money on it.

Since I want to learn for the first time in my life what it is like to own the most powerful video card, I aimed my view on the RTX 2080 ti (Alright, there is still Nvidia Titan, but it is far away from my budget). For me, the announced price of $ 1200 became a shock.

I knew that the price for a new generation graphics card will be higher, but I still expected that it would remain within $700 - $800, not $1200! Also $1200 is the price for happy US buyers. In my region, the minimum price will start from $1500...

It seems that the only way to raise some money is to sell my ass! This is pretty dirty work!..

I have long wanted to draw a picture on this theme. I'm very glad that I finally made it. I tried to show here maximum of what I like: corruption, sex without a condom, verbal abuse, cum baths... Actually, here are also: chacstity cage, inflation and mind break - but they all are behind the scene, so I just letting you know =D

Don't pre order it. Wait a while and let reviews roll in. Then look for people that are comparing it again the previous generation. As this card has very, very new technology inside of it. Wich in on it self is a achievement. As real time ray tracing was just a pipe dream a few years back. Also consider this. Where is the titan? Its the 2080-ti as Nvidia separate the titans more from the gaming cards so people get less confused. Got most of this from this vid https://youtu.be/5XRWATUDS7o

Thank you! But don't worry, I won't pre-order it for sure. Even pre-orders are simply out of stock already =D Sure thing I'll wait until the situation around them would be a little bit cleaner. Also I still don't have PC wich would be good enogh for it. With other words - the road ahead is long enough. ;-)

Lets all hope the crypto hype dies and we get normal prices again

Belief these are the normal prices. Current prices are the early adopter prices. They are likely to come down a bit as different brands bring there takes on the card out

Crypto craze has died off already. Cards can be found much closer to their MSRP, especialy the 10xx series cards. If someone DOES decide to buy a 2080ti, then they should wait until there are more than the reference cards (sometimes called Founders Edition) coming out. These will have a wider range of price/performance.

ginger

Well, I hope so... But it seems that in my region non-reference cards could have even higher prices =/ Seems like patience is the only way =)

AMD will show their Navi cards only in 2019. No competition - no normal prices...
