Æther Paradox

I realize the show has almost nothing to do with actual Jiu-jitsu, but in an attempt to better my person health I started doing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. First class was yesterday. Hope everyone else is having a great day. Thanks for the content.

So you're telling me sukuna was NOT top 10 for that list? That's surprising 😂 (also, where do y'all stand on nanami now that you've seen more of his personality/skills?) And as always, thanks for answering my question!!!!

"If I push a button that kills you its not really a me problem its a you problem." I guess at that point ya it is just a me problem 😂

Its happened Montana has reached a threshold of having watched enough anime that she is mixing them up always a special occasion.

Nanami's "overtime" ability isn't a cursed technique. A cursed technique is something like Mahito's idle transfiguration, Megumi's shadows, or Nanami's 3/7 ratio crit hit. "Overtime" is actually a "binding vow" (if you remember Sukuna made one with Yuji early in the series in order to bring him back to life). Per JJK Wiki: "A Binding Vow used by Kento Nanami limits the amount of cursed energy he can access to about 80-90% while on the clock working for Jujutsu High. Once his normal shift ends and he begins working overtime, Nanami's cursed energy increases dramatically. By invoking Overtime, Nanami is able to utilize 110-120% of his maximum power."

SO happy you guys are loving jjk

btw, mahito doesn't turn people in to curses, they just kind of look like one. when he transforms them they die (i believe) but he can control them

Same! I just need them to get to season 2, so the simping can truly begin 😂

There really is a lot to this fondness conversation. It's almost impossible to translate to an English dub but in Japanese, there isn't a direct word for "love." The word for fondness, suki / 好き, sounds like "I like you." Daisuki / 大好き is used as a word for a similar concept to "love" but it just means "big fondness" really.

I would absolutely adore it if you guys watched Fushigi Yugi it’s an older anime and a bit cheesy, but it’s absolutely fantastic! I adore it!

After watching this show like 5 times and reading all of the manga the best way I can explain Mahito's interpretation of the soul is that for humans their soul is immutable, it is what they are and they are it. But mahito treats the soul like a potter would clay, its a medium for him that he can shape into what ever he wants, and since the body follows the form of the soul he can transfigure any body with a soul like wet clay. When Mahito is talking about a heart he's really talking about an implicit morality - and his assertion is that people don't have that, they are only the form their soul takes and nothing more, if that's true or not is more up to us decide. In any case, just telling Junpei this is an enabling statement for him because it reasserts that these people that hate him are like that because there is no such thing as an implicit morality - if there was what explanation would there be for the torment he's gone through. It being meaningless and pointless means any doubts that he did something wrong go away, he's not at fault. And the most heart wrenching thing about all of this is that he really DIDN'T do anything wrong, that everything he's suspected was right, that these people hate him FOR NO REASON - so he can hate them back, because at least he has a reason. Sorry I know this was long but I have a lot of thought about this show lol.
