they actually mentioned that tanjiro's dad died of illness, not old age. that's why he always looked so gaunt and sickly in the flashbacks

also, a lot of demons don't remember their pasts but some do. i don't remember what it is exactly that dictates which demons retain their memories, or if it's random. but a theory some fans have is that the reason why demons who have forgotten their past human lives start to remember upon death is because as they're dying and disintegrating, muzan's cells start leaving their body

I think the coolest aspect of the birthmark scene is Tanjiro's apathy towards it all. Tanjiro in that moment doesn't believe he's special, but that doesn't matter to him. A demon has cause horrific carnage in front of him and his morality demands that he do something about it.

Kenny as much as I enjoy your habit of overthinking(It's what ensures one has a healthy active imagination) Muzan literally just said he wanted Nezuko disposed of to Daki because she escaped his control. I don't think he had some grand plan for Nezuko.

I think it didn’t translate well but Daki trembling wasn’t her being afraid it was Muzan’s cells/blood that were afraid and causing her to react that way. She was essentially feeling his fear.

The PTSD from the earrings is so strong that even a small amount of Muzan's blood in *a whole different demon* gets triggered by them. Put that in the encyclopedia entry for "generational trauma".

The reason Tanjiro's eyes started bleeding is because he was so unbelievably angry at Daki's lack of compassion that his body's physical reaction was bursting blood vessels in his eyes
