There's a cool transition between voice actors that happens in the very last scene with Philip. It can be easy to miss because of all the Collector stuff happening at the same time, but if you listen closely it's really cool!

I can’t wait to see if the show goes into Philip’s backstory and goals because we know Luz’s goal is to get back home to the human world; not once in previous journal entries has Philip mentioned how he got there, if he was doing all of this to go back home, or how he learned of the collector. Side note: Disney has done a great job of hiding Easter eggs from other shows into this show and vice-versa. You both have already come across some but won’t notice until you watch other shows. You both are awesome!

You asked if he remembered Lilith. Do you remember that line from Terra (the plant coven head) in the last episode when she said Belos is looking forward to meeting Luz, this is it, this episode is the first time (for him) that he meets her. He knew that at some point soon Luz was going to travel back in time and meet him. So he definitely remembers meeting them, which is quite impressive considering how long it's been I barely remember people I met last week.

In a mini comic Dana shared on Twitter Belos overhears Steve complimenting Lilith on her biceps and Lilith mentions she started taking boxing lessons in the mornings. Belos then reassigns Lilith to take over Hunter’s morning patrols.

Back when this episode first aired someone on Tumblr made a post outlining how Belos likely figured out Luz had timetraveled, and using that I put together a whole timeline for this plotline leading up to this episode! That moment with Lilith and the “rock” was such a smart way to establish how these time pools work! It’s a time loop, and therefore they can’t really interfere in the past because everything they’re doing has already happened. Also calling them time pools, and pool spelled backwards is loop.

Fun fact, this episode aired the same weekend that Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars. There were a lot of memes comparing that to Lilith punching Phillip!

Dell’s palisman is a North American cardinal, which are almost always red but occasionally one is born with a genetic mutation that causes them to be yellow instead! Also, we finally got to see Lilith’s white raven palisman off the staff, and much like how Lilith herself was intimidating and elegant in season 1, this season they’re both revealed to actually be adorable dorks!

I love how on the one reaction vid Kenny’s unmedicated, he catches a detail a lot of the fandom still doesn’t even realize is there (the tease of the collector from episode 8) 🤣 EXCELLENT catch!! I only wish you’d also caught what Eda’s dads palisman was cause I would have LOVED to hear y’all’s theory on THAT detail! 😏
