I’ve been told the fan service in Code Geass is pretty gratuitous I just have no interest in it based on that

Daolord Badlands

I don't think it's even that bad. Maybe like 5% is fan service with the rest being awesomeness. I feel like people nitpick too much Honestly

Criminal how under watched Vinland Saga is even though it’s very highly regarded. Makes sense that it isn’t Spy Family big but it should be as big as Chainsaw Man

Exactly. Vinland saga is one of the most introspective shows I’ve ever seen. It would fit their vibe so well, really hope they give it a chance.

cosmotron

I mean it’s not the most fan service I’ve ever seen in a show, but it’s pretty consistent and at its worst it actively undermines some of its female characters imo.

cosmotron

Vinland is so good and I really don’t get why it isn’t more obviously popular.

jolly

why is chainsaw man so lowwwwww

Daolord Badlands

I understand finding fan service slightly off-putting, but when weighed against everything else in the show I think its weight is negligible. It's Legendary for a reason.

ABRIKOS102

I think code geass is just better choice after death note and will give complete full story, without goofy gigs like spyxfamily

Norrin Radd

I’m pulling for the sitcom. Nice change of pace.

JDalsing

Agreed - Code Geass is so good and deep, one of the few to make me cry. I also like how they have one serious show and one more light-hearted. SpyxFamily is great, but definitely more light-hearted (as is MHA - just not as deep as other shows but a fun watch) and should be considered for Owl House's replacement.

Zerodeus

It's gratuitous for what the show is supposed to be about, absolutely, but it's actually pretty tame by mech anime standards. IMO it doesn't make it not worth watching, but it IS uncomfortable when it happens.

Gestrid

Loving My Hero Academia's sixth season right now, so, of course, I'm voting for the show here!

PLLLEEEAASE CONSIDER WATCHING COWBOY BEBOP!!!

This is just a suggestion but, do you think we could get polls that allow us to pick more than just one option? Like, I'd love to say that Edgerunners is my first choice, then Chainsaw Man at 2, and Spy X Family at 3. But as it stands, I'm voting for Edgerunners only which seems like it has no chance of winning.

Markub El Jaden

Its not a part of the poll unfortunately, but I highly suggest you watch Neon Genesis Evangelion. Its one of the most iconic must-watch anime of all time and for good reasons, its also deals with soooo many deep complex psychological themes that would be interesting to see you discuss and analysis (they also have a great English dub)

Anonymous

I would really love for you to watch Code Geass after Death Note. It just seems like the logical choice. I think it perfectly balances lightheartetness and seriousness. Its a great story for speculating and asking questions.

for next anime to watch; i have a few i think you two, especially montana, would have a field day with : neon genesis evangelion. ghost in the shell. kill la kill. cyberpunk edgerunners. hellsing ultimate.

Jarrod Clemens

If you guys watch Code Geass, i'll LITERALLY sub for an entire year. I hate 'giant robot' anime, but I have 4 that I defend. Code Geass is one of them. Watch it.

Please consider Vinland Saga as your next anime. It’s probably going to lose in the polls due to a smaller fandom, but that is not indicative of its quality. My three favorite anime’s of all time are AoT, Death Note, and Vinland Saga. If you like the first two mentioned (which I know you do), then there is no doubt in my mind you will fall in love with this show. Side note to Montana - there is absolutely no fan service in VS.

Darthwin Wright

Code Geass will be a great series to see after Death Note especially since people have compared Light and Lelouch. Spy x Family is also a great series.

Jinchuriki87

I guess part of the choice could also be determined on if you're going for a longer lasting choice or not. Because obviously MHA has the advantage in dubbed material available (already started on season 6 as well as 3 movies) so jujutsu kaisen or SxF would be shorter projects as both only have 1 dubbed season (JK also has a movie) and a new season for both coming soon.

Cathy Breuer

You two would absolute LOVE spyxfamily. It's also a shorter series, so afterward I'd be down for MHA

Iago Leonelli

Please make a poll that your subscribers tell their age.

Peter Amet

I'd just like to note Cyberpunk and Chainsaw can be finished in about a month. Seeing as they are popular it wouldn't seem crazy to just do those while choosing a longer series to tackle.

Liz

I voted MHA but my real vote is for Fruits basket

Grains

Though it is western animation castlevania is really good
