So as most of the comments mention, that bag was the one Mark tossed when he got his powers in Ep 1. What they didn't mention was that father, was the same security guard at the White House from the intro of Ep 1 who was talking to the other guard about his troubled step-son and how their relationship had gotten better recently, so they wanted to give him a trip to England as a reward and to spend time together. The step-son pushing his dad out of the way and yelling "Dad" and the step-father commenting that he actually called him dad was the character progression from the dad's conversation in Ep 1. about finally forming a good relationship with his step-son. All for a guy we never see again beyond these 2 episodes. Love your channel and reactions!
