I have to admit, when this first aired, I was a teenager and I was in love with Connor and his whole tortured soul. I was definitely an 'I can fix him' girl back then LMAO. His whole story is so sad and he just keeps making the wrong choices because he has no idea how to actually rely on anyone else and quickly loses trust because his formative years legitimately ruined him and he needs hardcore supernatural therapy. Possibly the saddest thing is that he NEVER felt the absolute devotion/happiness/love/peace that everyone else was feeling in Jasmine's presence. He pretended because it helped ease the pain for a while to feel like these people actually loved him unconditionally but they never really did and some were openly hostile. I just feel so bad for him and I want him to be happy.
