I'm still catching up on Angel, so this is a late comment. But while it was somewhat of an assault against Lilah by way of deception, she *did* consent to the act with that body, at least. It was absolutely an assault against ANGEL. He did not consent to his body being used in a sexual act. NONE of the young men that Marcus inhabitated consented. Their one-night stands or escorts (whichever they were) consented to be with the person in that body, not being deceived, so that's not an assault against them; it was an assault against the men whose bodies were being used. The reason the Lilah scene was different was that she personally knew Angel and consented to be with *Angel* and not someone else in Angel's body (bit of a fuzzy area). It was Angel, however, who was also victimized. Knowing where you are in the Buffy series right now (Season 7, in fact), I can also safely comment that it was the same thing in the Buffy/Faith switch. Yes, Riley was assaulted by deception, but Buffy was *also* assaulted because she did not consent for her body to engage in a sexual act. Of course, all of this is moot since, as far as I know HA-HA, none of this could actually happen IRL.

That scene in the train station is very sad on its own, but if you realise the metaphor and the terrible real life analogue it is absolutely heart-breaking. Her mother's remark about "making movies" can also be interpreted in this light.

Is it a little disappointing that we didn't get to see Angel and Buffy together? Yes, absolutely. But if the acting scene between Cordy and Wes is the consultation prize I'm pretty happy getting that instead😆 Amy Acker came for our fucking heartstrings though, y'all. Good grief😥 A fun, well acted, emotionally satisfying episode and definitely one of my favourites also. Maybe not absolute top-tier in my own personal rankings but it's something very close to it. Happy to see you enjoyed it also.
