Anthony Head wanted to go back home. AH’s contract was up, so to get her to come back her agent got her a good deal, including credit placement. You could have paused for 30 seconds and google this. Would have saved everyone that temper tantrum at the end.

I dunno if you remember this but being buried alive was one of Buffy's biggest fears in Nightmares. So having to dig herself out of her own grave is probably a nightmare she'd had more than once.

I usually tie season 4 and season 5 in my rankings. Season 3 is and always will be my favorite season. It could be used as the basis of a masterclass in writing. Perfect pacing, perfect balance between serial and one-off episodes. So much rich character development. They manage to tease the arc with the Mayor JUST right so that there's this urgency, but no clear answers until right at the very end. Even episodes like Dead Man's Party and Beauty and The Beasts, the ONLY bad episodes of the season, are narratively necessary for some of their larger plot points; and from there it's off to the races. After season 3, season 2 is my second favorite. Lots of good stuff, but also a fair amount of bad episodes. Like I said, season 4 and 5 are tied for me. Season 4's season arc was bad, but a lot of good one-offs, a lot of good humor. A lot of good character interaction. Season 4 has believable reasons for why the Scoobies don't kill Spike. By season 5 it becomes increasingly dubious. Season 5 has a strong season arc and on paper is very well constructed, but I find it very dry. Too much depressing content, I'm not sure the story with Glory was paced as well as it could be. Too few humorous episodes. Seasons 4 and 5 kind of have a lot of the qualities the other was missing to make them spectacular seasons. And then season 1 would be ranked after seasons 4/5.

My ranking is as follows: S2 (The best! I don't think anything can top the Angelus storyline, honestly), S1 (I love how it's a lighter season that is campy and just really sets everything up), S4 (Such a fun season. The Initiative/Adam storyline was kind of meh, but it has some of my favorite episodes in it, like Hush and Something Blue), S6 (So happy you're into this season now. It's a pretty wild season, and it also contains my second favorite episode of the entire show), S5 (This was a fantastically put together season, and I absolutely love Glory. I just find it too depressing to rewatch often, so that's why it's a little lower on my ranking), S3 (This season had some great episodes, but I'll be honest, I hated the mayor as the villain and I'm also not a big Faith fan), S7 (I won't go into detail since you aren't there yet, but I will say that there's a particular episode in this season that I absolutely hate with a passion and often skip it on rewatches. Also not a huge fan of the overarching storyline, though it's not terrible. I do love the finale and how things are wrapped up though). This season 6 episode is my favorite season opener of the whole show. It's so good! My ranking for season premieres from favorite to least favorite: S6, S1, S4, S5, S2, S7, S3
