Hey guys, so I just acquired the firefly episodes, but when I compare them with imdb their orders are completely different. So I looked and it says that they for some reason were aired out of order. I don't wanna look into it more so I don't get accidentally spoiled, so I'm just wondering if one of you maybe can tell me in which order I should be watching the episodes, so I can get the best viewing experience out of it.

When the episodes were aired, I believe on FOX, they changed the viewing order to show more action episodes early in order to try and gain viewers. When they were released on DVD the show had been cancelled, and were able to be put in the order that Joss Whedon originally intended. This included some scenes that had been re-shot to maintain continuity. It sounds as though you have the DVD episodes, which is how Joss intended the story to be told, which I would strongly suggest is the way they should be viewed.
