Cinebench R20 included. Before you use the new smart diagnostic, make sure you have curve disabled in the BIOS and DRAM OC must be stable. CPU LLC has an incredible impact on stability. At the end of the guide there is some more information about CTR 2.1 RC5.

The program is in a 7-ZIP archive.  Download the archiver
.NET Framework to 4.8.

What's new?

  • The LLC is taken into account when creating profiles (fix instant crash during diagnostics or OB testing).
  • Automatic reinstallation of the CTR driver at every startup (avoids the problem when the CTR cannot be started).
  • Increased speed of OB testing.
  • Support for negative OB values. For some situations is required.
  • The PX profile does not require P1 or P2 to be enabled.
  • Improved temperature in IDLE.
  • Fix profile bounce. Reduced the probability of false profile switching by 6 times.
  • OB 1 by default - works for all.
  • For dynamic profile added the ability to reduce the frequency by 75 MHz per step (before 50). Allows for improved stability when shifting from light to heavy load.
  • PX holding time is almost 750ms. Improved frequency stability in games.
  • FIT measurement fix.
  • Additional debugging information in the logs (for me, don't be intimidated).
  • Improved stability for CTR HYBRID OC.
  • Other minor bug fixes.

@yuri. Thanks for your great work! I have one question, though. I have a 5950x and x570 hero. according to ctr I have a golden sample, but to me it looks like I have rather low PX values. mine are (mix) 4875, 4750, 4625. is that normal? any idea on how to get higher clocks? bumping the mV wont increase the clocks much for me. also, I have the „core performance boost“ option twice in my bios. one is under amd/cbs which I can leave on auto or disable. the other is under extreme tweaker and seems to auto oc cpu and ram. its on auto but can be enabled or disabled. should I leave both on auto? Thanks!!!

PX has a preset mode, the clocks you are describing are probably AVX mode, use the selector box in the profile tab to switch from AVX to MIX. That should hopefully give you another set of faster clocks.

Alright. The testing ran through okay. The problem I am facing now is that it will not autoload the Profiles when i restart/turn on the pc. Just the CTR program keeps opening and I continuously have to manually select "Autoload Profile" and Activate all the profiles. I am running a 5900X on an x570 Aorus Master and I have already used the CTR Config Cleaner... like 3 times. What can I do to get this to autoload?

So after clearing CTR Settings, turning off the pc, Restarting and trying to Run CTR again. It runs, then reboots, and then just gives me an error: ***ClockTuner for Ryzen 2.1 RC5(ver. 21) by 1usmus*** AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor GIGABYTE X570 AORUS MASTER BIOS ver. Hi, works great for on my 5950X for most of my use cases. There is one case which might be optimizable though. That's when most of the load is on CCX2 instead of CCX1. In that case, the PX profile is activated and CCX2 is downclocked to 3400Mhz. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-m6xxLNh/0/6c21b541/O/i-m6xxLNh.png

So a few versions back there was this big pdf guide to setting up your bios to prepare for running ctr. More recently however there is a much shorter pdf guide for v17 (the pdf version hasn't changed, it's still linked in this new release). My question is should we still follow the "big" guide purely when it comes to bios settings or just the new much shorter one you keep posting? Or should we do both? I ask because before all the OB stuff happened there was only the "big" guide and that's what I followed for bios settings. Just wondering if I should reset my bios settings and just go with the new shorter suggestions in the most recent pdf (after of course properly calculating and setting my LLC for the right vdroop range)

There is also since long time this annoying tooltip bug. CTR tooltip stays on top of every other window. Would be great of that could be fixed. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-Np4VTvK/0/0599286d/O/i-Np4VTvK.png
