I have another idea how to fix the PX, but we'll talk about that tomorrow.
Don't be discouraged.

It usually works the third time, doesn't it?

Best regards , Yuri!

Welp lol

I was already quite happy with the beta 3.

That's what Beta's are for :)

After Diagnostic and then tune for all profiles. Keep getting reboots on my 5900x just trying to open a steam game. :(

Tried with Beta 4, suggested 5025 on two cores with Delta of 100 for 2 more. Instant crash on light task load, tired reducing to 5000 and 4975 along with delta changes of 75 and 100 for all combinations. No joy. All lead to crash upon light load such as downloading files or launching tasks etc. I did not try the SoC and VDDG ideas you suggested, since I am not very familiar with Ryzen OC and didn't wanna take any risks lol. Will wait it out, thanks for keeping at it for us, much appreciated. Will run P2 at 4625/4524 @ 1288 and P1 4500/4400 @ 1188 for now. Looking forward to a better PX! Cheers.

Think I'll turn it off until sorted. Just constant reboots even tweaking the MHz in 25s

Don't you get discouraged! I'm happy to support your work, it was fantastic before PX, so it's just an added bonus in my eyes.

Right I have a serious problem here . My PC keeps rebooting every time now getting into the desktop. This is before the CTR even loads up . Fuckkkkk

Anonymous

I had this too. What you need to do is jump immediately into task scheduler and disable the CTR 2.1 beta X task. After that go to %AppData% and locate the folder “A” dig down until you find a user preferences file and edit the line “Hybrid OC” and change the value to False. Save and reboot.

My Ryzen 5600x just crash when I active the PX profile, I'll be patient until it works in some beta X. Good luck

Hi all, just an FYI Yuri. I am running a Ryzen 9 3900x bronze sample and I have seen my cinebench single-core score go from 512 to 535 using PX with no issues to report. Extremely satisfied with the current build. Perhaps the issues mentioned might be something to do with 5000 series using more cores? Not an expert in this at all, but thought I would mention in the rare event it would help.

Anonymous

Sure, no problem. I'm in it for the long haul Yuri. My ideal case scenario would be a tool that will give me the best possible performance (including PBO / automatic tune curving) at the lowest possible temps.

Beta 3 and Beta 4 works great for me. MC score improved. Stable and switch fast and NICEly!! Great Job. One remaining question (not issue) is why CPU-Z 's single thread score is lower than the system with no tune. Maybe a bit conservative in PX profile?

Also, saw different initial CO curve values in Beta 3 and Beta 1 LOG File. For example, this is mine in Beta 3. (silver sample from diag with custom cooling so temp is always in lowish 40 C when tuning) I think these are related to the initial condition when we do the tuning. Is that right? How are these values are set? CPPC related? Thank you. Yuri for your great job here. And I'm enjoying to explore more with your nice tool. Default curve coefficients CORE#1 20 CPPC 199 CORE#2 19 CPPC 203 CORE#3 19 CPPC 190 CORE#4 19 CPPC 185 CORE#5 22 CPPC 212 CORE#6 20 CPPC 208 CORE#7 19 CPPC 194 CORE#8 22 CPPC 212 CORE#9 3 CPPC 163 CORE#10 14 CPPC 181 CORE#11 3 CPPC 158 CORE#12 11 CPPC 176 CORE#13 0 CPPC 149 CORE#14 8 CPPC 167 CORE#15 3 CPPC 154 CORE#16 9 CPPC 172 ------------------

It seems CPU Z is always running on Core 0 - that might not be your best score. I experience the same but CineBench single core is the one to trust I believe - although Yuri can share some more light.

Thank you @Yuri. I am following your work since DRAM (I am also mentioned there as contributor - SexySale :) ) and now this. I have same issues like some of other mentioned for Beta 3 - crashing randomly, but PX profiles are working for me fine ( 5600x - Silver sample). Beta 4 I didn't had time to test properly, but I saw less aggressive frequency and more tune testing. Let me know if you need any additional info. Great work and will try to support you!!!

Hmm, some advice would be greatly appreciated. When I run the diagnostic on CTR 2.0 the manual overclocking section of the diagnostic uses all the cores on my 5800x. However, if I use CTR 2.1 then the diagnostic section only appears to be using the first core. Is that intended behaviour for 2.1? I can't find any mention of it in any of the documents, although I may have missed it... Can anyone else confirm whether the same is true for them? Or can Yuri confirm whether this is correct? Thanks in advance for your help.

Anonymous

It is true for me too, but I think that it uses only the worst core for diagnostic becouse if the worst core can handle that clock/voltage then all cores can handle it. Just my opinion

My 5900X with beta 4 and PX with 5000 on 4 Cores 1450mv and Delta 50 works nicelly in games and Benchmark, I tried 5025/5050/5075@1460mv/1475mv and using CPU-Z works grate but, when I tried with CB20 the system reboot in all cases. In P2 I use 1335mv ccx1: 4800 and ccx2: 4775 and P1 1175mv ccx1: 4675 ccx2: 4600. In BIOS all Auto, Fmax off and except LLC5 on Asus TUF X570 I used this LLC on manual OC and was the BEST.On CTR looks the same un my case.

Anonymous

I may have read it wrong but I thought that you put the more aggressive oc in P2 and the less aggressive one in P1?

Using a 5800x and have noticed my cpu has changed from bronze to silver to bronze to silver sample a few times. I love the profile switch you set and undervolting. Playing Cyberpunk 2077 with fully maxed settings on a 3440x1440 with an evga 3090 FTW3 produces some massive heat and power draw. With your profiles I was able to keep my cpu from getting above 55° in game (gpu a whole different story but unrelated here)! Keep up the good work and looking forward to future releases and upcoming beta!. Side Note: Also pulled off a 6200 score in R20 at one time! Though didn't save my profile -_- need to figure out what I had for that! note: if you need a 5800x guinea pig to test or pass along info let me know)

about the PX profile, after running diagnostic the PX profile generated cannot be saved (the values are not correct) The Group MHz is set to -140137 and the Delta MHz is set to 15200. Is this a known issue? Running a 5900X btw

@Leon undervolt 3090 too. It is much easier than tuning cpu :) Just download MSI Afterburner and check some youtube videos and you are good to go :)
