this was my comfort movie? show? special? back when i was a kid lol i'd watch it all the time and pretend to be anne. i blame her for the flowery language i still use today lol

I absolutely loved all of the Anne of Green Gables movies. Also, the Anne with an E series on Netflix is so so good as well if you have any interest! Cant wait to watch this! :)

I love this movie, I go back to it every couple of years. Big fan of the book too read it a few times. Movies that take place in this time period with female leads are always my favorite.

i'm so glad you're watching this. i've been such an Anne of Green Gables fan since I was in elementary school. This mini-series (it was technically a mini-series tho i think most consider it 3 movies) has always meant so much to me. I LOVE the Netflix series & definitely hope you some day check it out (along with the 2nd and 3rd movies), altho I'd say this min-series holds the most special place in my heart. There are parts about this i like better than the netflix series and parts about the netflix series i like more. they're both beautiful adaptions with different strong points.

Anne of Green Gables is such a thing. You can even visit Green Gables in Prince Edward Island! There is also a cartoon as well as a Japanese anime (Anne is very popular in Japan). Including, ofc, the Netflix series as well as other live action adaptions. This mini series will always be my favorite tho.

I havnt watched this yet. But I am so happy you are reacting to it. Anne Of Green Gables was my absolute favourite book series growing up followed closely by the The Black Stallion books. When I was in Canada on holiday my only stipulation was we had to go to P.E.I so I could go to Green Gables. Hope you enjoyed it, but I am about to find out. 💚
