Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you're reacting to SKAM!! I suggested it a while back after you finished In Love All Over Again and you were looking for a new foreign language series. It's one of my favourite series of all time and I can see why there have been so many remakes of it. WTFock was the Belgian version of SKAM. But the OG series is by far the best. You're definitely right that it's similar to Skins because every season focuses on a different character. Honestly it gets better and better with each season. As Ophelia said, many of the actors went to the school it's filmed in and they're the ages they're meant to be playing. The director said that many of the scenes are just improvised by the actors because she wanted it to be as authentic as possible and how people their age speak :) I'm Swedish and in Sweden and Norway this was such a big deal, at one point they reported on the news that 1 in every 4 people in Norway were watching when an episode dropped. It was so fun that we got updates throughout the week based on when it happened in the show. So if something happened in the show during the school day we would all get the notification and try to sneak out of class to watch the little clip that was released or read the social media post of the character!

I was part of Dr Phil's audience during Covid I did the virtual audience it was so boring I immediately regretted being part of it. The producers would tell us when to clap and when to smile and when the camera was going to show you. I was just sitting there for like 8 hours never again
