I am sorry if the show is triggering, troubling. If at any point you do not wish to continue please stop. I do not want to cause you any discomfort. I would say a lot of political fallouts, old maps, old studies, wrong priorities (Military focusing on NATO exercise not flood prevention, The Reservoir organizing sport competition instead of actually having a retention area ready) all of this is true and all of this played the part in 1997 events. Part of the issue is that while other Polish rivers would have years of studies, only after WWII when borders shifted this area would become Poland as we know it today. So there would have been older German studies, and some Polish after-war studies, but this was never prioritzed by government, and as a result old research was all there was. So 30-year old maps were probably the only ones that were done at the time. As for Jaśmina herself, that part of the story is part of the fiction. I think it plays into a lot of true parts, her being a younger woman absolutely would undermine any authority she would have in the 90s. She is questioned why she studied abroad, but the truth is she probably have hard time pursing Ph.D in Poland at the time, just because of her gender. So this is this 'old guard' mentality why her research is questioned. Only because Kuba knows here personally she actually is invited to those meetings, basically she is there because he trusts her to do her job. Thank you for raction and see you with the next ep :)
