This is one of those shows operating purely on vibes :D I love your theories, and analysis on how you see Dream as a character and especially how he interacts with others. Patton Oswald as Matthew is so unique casting, but again I think works. He feels super modern, but he just died, so yeah he would be a modern voice to accompany Dream on his quest. I adore The Game here. Comic book went demon vs Dream. Here making it Dream vs Lucifer made it so much more grand. There was a lot of discussion on not casting Tom Ellis (Lucifer from Lucifer :D) But I think Gwen was a better fit here. Tom has this charming rogue vibe, while it needed more ethereal Lucifer for the setting to fully work.

Patton Oswald, that's the voice! He has such a unique voice it suprises me that he hasn't dont more voice acting. And omg I though you meant the actual Patton Oswald died and I got really sad and had to Google for confirmation lol

I also agree int hat while I loooove Tom Ellis as Lucifer, his Lucifer would'nt have fit here. One of the fun things about him is he rarely gets evil or mad, so when he does it's terriyfing. I don't think "I would be able to have taken him seriously in this lol
