Elite Season 6 Episode 8 Separation (Patreon)

2023-05-19 19:25:05 Isa and Ivan just have the disadvantage of being introduced in season 5. So I think they did pretty well salvaging those characters. Isa is amazing. And I really like Ivan, despite everything. I mentioned that before, but I wish they let Ivan and Patrick be just happy for atleast a few episodes. It falling apart after Cruz´s death hurt but made sense and was good. It would have been nice to see both of them be happy before that though. I know they aren´t good for each other, but I´m still rooting for them, which is why I would kinda hope that Patrick would come back eventually, maybe season 8. I hate how this show can´t do relationships. Not a single couple ever lasted. Even Guzman and Nadia who were great! But it always felt like especially the male/male relationships get a lot of drama thrown at them. It was a constant up and down with Ander & Omar too. And I kinda hate that. And now that Omar is back I´m praying they aren´t just sticking Omar and Ivan together, because they are both into guys. Benjamin getting free was unsatisfying. Especially after Ari just had the realization that he killed Samu. Her just going back to freeing him made that feel so pointless. Not a fan of Ari kinda gaslighting and pushing Patrick to leave. I mean, it makes sense from their perspective. And Patrick doesn´t know any better. But as a viewer it just hurt, because we saw that Ivan rushed after Patrick and wanted to apologize. And now it feels kinda unresolved. I think I would have preferred if Patrick and Mencia stayed while they got an excuse for Ari to disappear. Ari was just annoying this season. Patrick could still do stuff, and Mencia leaving after "committing" the crime feels like when Guzman left after he murdered Armando. Especially since we know she didn´t do that, and that whole thing needs to be cleared up and I wish Mencia would be around to resolve it. I hate that Sara did that, granted she was stressed and manipulated by Raul, but still. And you mentioned that Raul will take that to control Sara, but similarly I think Benjamin, who knows the version that Mencia did it, will use that to control his family again and to keep Mencia in line. Even if we will never see that, it sucks for her. I love Isa and Didac! And I´m so curious what they are planning with their families and these characters individually. We need to find out what exactly is going on there. I just hope they don´t ruin those characters now that they are in a relationship. Overall I still really love that season. It had way more interesting plotlines than anything season 4 and 5 did. Isa´s story with her abusers, Sara & Raul and Nico´s struggles were all in my opinion so much better than "Who killed Armando/Samu" and everything with Phillipe. I´m so glad they handled the R issue better than whatever they were doing with how they handled Phillipe.

I agree, the ending of some of these stories is just plan sad. I know it doesn't have to be a happy ending especially for a show like this, but I feel like there are just too many things that should've been brought to justice. The Mencia thing really stayed with me. Even though I never liked her character, I can't believe she had to live the rest of her life thinking she did something so horrible. It almost makes me feel like they left it like that because maybe somewhere down the line she will come back with Patrick.

I'm also excited for more Sonia next season, worried abt how they'll use Omar. This'll come out in October and there'll be a s8 after that- and Nadia will come back for that. I really hope they don't mess up her life haha. The drive-by shooting was too telenovela for me, but before that, I thought this finale was so damn good! Like, when they cut back to Mencia at the club and I realized sth else had happened, I got chills. They manipulated Patrick to leave, but everything Ari said was true- they need time apart. And he can always come back later, once Ivan doesn't subconsciously blame him for his father's death anymore, and they can try again. For the girls tho, that was a depressing ending. Mencia having to live w this and lie about it. And Ari also having to lie abt it and return into denial mode about what her father did so she can live with him- awful. I fucking hate Benjamin- when he told Ari "now you understand what it is to be a parent", I was sooo angry. She's NOT a parent, she's your child! But now they're back to their old roles. So sad. And also awful for Sara. Blaming it on Mencia was shitty, but I get her panic in the moment. And she'll pay for it dearly, because now she's dependent on Raul. He can hit her as much as he wants because she has this hanging over her. I hope Raul is the dead guy next season. Overall, this was the "new" Elite season I liked best. I like s1-3 all equally. Then this, then s4 and the shitty one last :D ETA: Because I didn't comment in the ep where it actually came up, screw Bilal for being a shitty golddigger. Rocio deserves much better.

I absolutely hate that they even involved Bilal. I don't understand why they felt the need to do that and it ruined Rocio's story for me. I had no idea Nadia was coing back!!
