It's funny to me that once again a show with Josh Dallas has a child character recast in the last season. Also, in interviews, Josh Dallas explained that his "grief beard" (what they call it) was actually his own: He apparently started growing out a beard after NBC cancelled the show, and then when getting back on set, the creator Jeff Rake said "We can use this for Ben".
