I agree 100% with you. Like it is Brian's fault to some extent but honestly Michael just allows it. And of course Brian is going to play into it cause he knows Michael will do it. I really liked that the episode focused a lot on Justin's family. I think his situation is something that is very relatable, especially at the time but also still. The whole issue with Brian is also so complicated. Like Justin's mom is really worried because of Brian's age and Justin going out and stuff, but of course Justin isn't going to listen or understand with his father so being homophobic in the same conversations.

So excited for this upcoming binge! The episode title was on point here. Brian and Michael really do have such a codependent relationship and it’s not healthy but I also can’t help but love their friendship…well parts of it. The whole Michael being moon eyes for him and Brian knowing it and playing into it is not a fun dynamic especially when they both know it’s never gonna happen. But it’s been that way for 16 years so it is hard to let go. Brian doesn’t want to lose his best friend and the person constantly by his side. He wants them to live the fun party life together forever but that’s not what Michael really wants because Michael does believe in love and he wants the whole relationship thing. He just sadly wants it with the wrong person. He needs to let go and he needs Brian to let him go in order to find the right one. So I really enjoyed that ending scene with Brian and David because I do think Brian needed to hear it. That said I do put most of the blame on Michael leaving the trip and coming home early on him. He knew something was up and Brian told him not to come before telling him and he still chose to. And Brian did have a concussion, Melanie says it in the scene at the loft. Michael just needs to learn to have his own life. Friendships are important but you have to put yourself and the person you’re dating first sometimes too. Justin’s dad is the worst. I can’t say that enough. His mom is worried for the right reasons but his dad is definitely pissed that he’s gay. The way he says he must have been “flauting” himself in regards to the fight with Chris Hobbs pissed me off. And yeah that is the same guy Justin gave a HJ to so his taunting is interesting. I was proud Justin stood up for himself and fought back too.

Brian atleast tried to let Michael be happy. He even tried to not tell him about the accident, but I guess he didn´t want to lie when Michael kept pushing. Michael really just shouldn´t have called. No idea why he felt like discussing his sex immediately and with Brian of all people. Justin´s dad is insane! I´m rooting for the mom to eventually divorce that guy. The dad has a point that Brian is a man, but honestly, he would act just as insane if Justin hooked up with a boy his age. Yes, the kid in school was the quarterback Justin did stuff with. They didn´t really hook up, Justin just jerked him off that one time. Still not something a straight person would allow to happen, but I guess that´s how the guy is rationalizing it as "not gay". And we didn´t have a birthday. Justin was 17 when the show started, so he should become 18 soon-ish.

I also loved how in that situation Justin didn't out Chris when he easily could have. Although at this point if the harassment continues I wouldn't hold it against him.

It's funny you bring that up as not being a hook up because I just had this conversation with my friend. She considers hooking up sex and only sex, I consider hooking up anything from making out to sex. She said I need to be careful and be more descriptive lol

It’s funny you say that because for the longest time I considered “hooking up” as sex but then after some confusing/interesting situations I realized that a lot of people just mean making out or anything like that.
