Flesh and Blood- Thank you so much for another phenomenal episode for Person of Interest, Jessie!! A great and fun reaction, for a fabulous episode! I really love this episode a lot and it's absolutely one of my favorites from season one. Elias is a fantastic villain!! :) I love our heroes' drive to try to protect the five heads of the mob families in spite of the kind of men they are, all to try to protect and keep as many innocent people safe from the fallout of these men's deaths. Unfortunately... Elias has his right hand man, his very own John Reese, kidnap Carter's son to use him for leverage against her, and despite wanting to go against her every instinct as a cop to rush to find her son, Carter allows herself to trust in Reese and Finch again once Reese vows to save her son from Elias. And thankfully, he succeeds... putting himself back in Carter's good graces. Fabulous! And it's like Carter's son Taylor said... Reese is most definitely a badass. :) Carl Elias is cruel for being willing to kill children in order to win the war he's fighting against all else in power and he's definitely as bad and evil as the mob bosses, but I love his character because he's always steps ahead of everyone else. He makes for a brilliant villain. He's calculated, smart, and ruthless, but in a way that doesn't make him feel like another typical kind of bad guy. Elias acts almost kind, gentle, and non threatening when confronting his enemies face to face, which makes him all the more scary. Which is fantastic! It's funny that you call Elias' right hand guy, Scarface on account of the scar on his face beneath his right eye. Because Reese actually calls him Scarface a few times throughout this show, and the nickname has stuck. However, his real name is Anthony Marconi, and he and Elias are close friends. I also love Finch offering to help Reese in the fight about to come to save Carter's son, only for Reese to state it's okay for him to be the getaway driver. This is his way of telling Finch he understands him not being comfortable with fighting, which I really love about Reese' character. And it's fantastic how Finch risks confronting Officer Simmons... the apparent head of HR and warns Simmons to back off working with Elias if Simmons wishes to keep his family and the families of the rest of the dirty cops within HR safe once Finch warns him that Elias is keeping tabs on them in order to make sure HR falls in line when he needs them too. Bravo to Finch for being brave enough to do so. And Simmons is a very scary guy. I am shocked that Elias is arrested in the end and that he allows himself to be. But it's pretty clear that even from behind bars, Elias is still very much a threat, as we see he's able to give the order for his right hand man to kill his father and father's other son with a car bomb. Cold and calculating, yet brilliant! And lastly... One of the crime bosses succeeds in planting doubts in Carter's head about Fusco truly being on her side when he rats Fusco out about having been a dirty cop working with HR. Not good. But Fusco has been working hard to prove himself to Reese and Finch, and he's definitely done so. And he does so again when he refuses to side with the crime boss and actually shoots him to protect Carter. Love it! I can't wait for more!!! So, thank you once again for this great reaction, Jessie!! Until April for more Person of Interest... Thank you! Sincerely, Heidi

I like how you said Elias allows himself to be arrested because that's so very true. He is very intelligent and I'm sure could have, even thought it may have been very difficult, figured out a way to get around it. Whether it be him having a specific driver that accidentally doesn't get tot he station of someone helps him escape. I'm excited to see his story unfold more!

Absolutely!! Elias' story arc throughout this show is intriguing, and absolutely amazing. He is a bad guy, and yet there's a part of me that can't help but route for him too. Brilliant writing of his character, and phenomenal acting from Enrico Colantoni. What an actor! :) Heidi
