This is the movie that officially got me into musicals and will remain to be one of my all time favorite movies.

I saw you reacted to this, and I got excited and posted a comment, but I only just started to watch the actual reaction (I would have yesterday, but I watched your OUAT, and I had to be at work at 6 am) but dude!! I'd be so jealous if you got to see Phantom. I've seen almost every version but the actual broadway show. If the Tour comes here again, I want to go so badly. I was able to see the show they had in Vegas, which was so good..but yeah. Phantom is one of my all-time favorites. The Chandler Scene is probably one of my all-time favorite transition scenes. There's something so magical about it with the overture playing it gives me shivers! I think what makes Phantom is the music. It's so gorgeous. You have valid questions, and tbh, some of them do get explored in the sequel musical. Which is underrated, and I genuinely love it. You paused it at the perfect time because that's where act one ends in the stage musical xD I wouldn't call the Phantom "Evil" per se; he's misunderstood and only seen hatred and disgust his whole life. The book actually goes into a lot more detail about his past. I would say he is more of a tragic character of circumstance. No, I don't think he should have ended up with Christine, and he has done pretty messed up things. The phandom tends to romanticize him when the reality is, he's not a good guy...but...he's not really a villain either. It's kind of a mix between. He's a very Gray character. In all honestly, I kind of ship him with Meg....which might seem strange, but after years of fanfics and reading a book where someone pairs him up with her....what can I say? I'm a shipper xD
