Haven´t seen the movie since 2019 when I watched it in theaters. And honestly I thought I wouldn´t care as much about a rewatch, since I prefer the 2nd movie. But looking back on it now. This was pretty good. It´s especially nice to develop Benedict a bit more. He had his moments in the series, but we never really delved deeper into his character. And the way Taylor affected him and his perspective was really sweet. I like how they structured it, with the first half focusing on Amy/Isabella while the 2nd half is for Taylor. And while I would have liked their reunion too. Atleast we "know" that they will really meet again once Taylor delivers her letters to Amy in person. Although even then it´s kinda bittersweet that they will never be able to live together as sisters anymore. Since Amy had to give up her entire life, and now that she is married to some Count it´s kinda impossible for her to explain her "sister". And in the end she still isn´t free and remains trapped. But I guess just knowing that her sister is out there and still thinks of her, as well as writing her letters will be a source of comfort. Haven´t watched Bubble or Komi Can´t Communicate yet. But I´ve heard good things about Komi, and the trailer for Bubble looked pretty good. Kinda reminded me with it´s colours and just something about it´s vibe of "Your Name" Maybe it´s just the beautiful animation.

I love hearing that you prefer the second movie because I absolutely loved this one! So that makes me really excited for the next lol I didn't comment on Amy and the situation she was forced into, but I fully agree. I guess we are supposed to be comforted by the fact that, like you said, her whole life she has struggles and now not only is she taken care of physically, but also now mentally and emptionally to a certain extent since she knows Taylor is out there and happy and ok.
