korosenai means "unkillable" so they turned it into Koro + sensei (the honorifics for teacher) Some clarifications, you seemed confused by "Mach 20" Mach is a measurement in relation to the speed of sound. So Mach 20 means that Koro Sensei is 20x faster than sound. They are middle schoolers, so they are all around ~14 The school is some sort of prestigious school. The E class is basically all the outcasts that couldn´t keep up with the others, so their grades were bad and they were sent into that class. Prior to Koro-Sensei´s arrival they were just normal students, they were the losers of the school. They only started to be assassins very recently when that arrangement started and Korosensei became their teacher. As you can see, the premise of the show is very... out there. But it´s so good! It´s mostly comedic, but since it´s still about assassination it got it´s occasional dark moments. By the way a common abbreviation for the show is "AssClass"
