Love the episode! Mainly for everything surrounding Killian. It´s great that a wedding is now kinda on the table, Now it´s just a matter of time for it to happen! David´s father was a bit boring, and I felt like Pleasure Island was just an excuse to have Pinocchio there to tie it back into August. And I kinda wish we would have a better reason to explore that Island a bit more. You are mistaken about the water. It´s not, and never was, the River of Lost Souls. That was exclusively the Underworld. The only time we saw that water in Storybrooke was when the Queen threatened to use the little bit Rumple brought with him. The coin was simply thrown into normal water, and because David let go of it (and symbolically of his father) his father´s ghost vanished. David didn´t damned his father´s soul to eternal suffering. Don´t really know why his ghost suddenly decided to show up though, but anyway, that´s dealt with now I guess.

Murder Most Foul- Thank you so very much for another fun reaction for Once Upon a Time, Jessie!! I am a little sad that you felt the major storyline about David and his father, as well as with Killian was a bit boring. Because I absolutely love this episode so, so much! It's not just one of my favorite episodes within season six, but throughout all of this show! I love how beautifully this episode parallels, or perhaps contrasts so perfectly with season three's episode... Good Form, as we see David and Killian team up to work together, while Killian fights for David to save his life. Just under very different circumstances. In Good Form, Killian works hard to literally save David when he is dying from dreamshade. While in this episode, Killian does so more figuratively as he fights more to save David's soul, by keeping him from making a terrible mistake that Killian knows would haunt David the rest of his life if he had actually killed King George. So, so beautiful! First... I absolutely love the beginning scene between Killian and Archie, as David comes to Archie seeking much needed advice. We know from Killian talk with Emma outside of their shed as he's covering for David and distracting Emma, that Killian is truly afraid of losing Emma, and that nearly having to watch he die when Gideon attacked her in the previous episode... Tougher Than the Rest, really broke him. And so, I feel that Killian wants all the more to marry Emma, even more so than he wanted to beforehand. I believe that Killian would have eventually proposed to Emma, of course. However, her nearly dying certainly deepened his desire and need to marry the love of his life that much sooner. And sadly... David's cruelty towards him has only made him fear that David wants more for Emma. And that David still only sees him as nothing but a pirate. So, I love that Killian comes to see Archie, and I love Archie's advice. Killian coming to see him alone shows just how much Killian truly has changed. And now... I absolutely love, love, love everything about David's and Killian's story arc throughout this episode, which is easily my favorite storyline within this episode. And every scene and moment between two of my very favorite characters throughout this show, are my favorite scenes and moments throughout this episode. I love David's fight to discover the truth about who really killed his father and getting to know all that happened ever since David's had made the deal with Rumplestiltskin to save both of their sons. In regards to whether or not anyone would make the same choice that David's father and mother had made when faced with losing both sons to illness, or just one to King James in their deal with Rumple... As difficult and tragic as their decision to give James up is, I honestly feel that anyone would make the very same decision. It would break me, but I think I would make the same decision too. To lose one son in such a way would be heartbreaking, yes. However, to lose both sons to illness if you were to refuse such a deal, when given the chance to save their lives... unbearable and devastating. And of course, David's parents do both deeply regret making this deal with Rumple. I truly love, love, love Kilian's fight to try to prove to David he is worthy of Emma's love and her hand in marriage, and the pain he shows in his face upon having to distract Emma as he does to help David steal the potion ingredients from her. I love this storyline between Killian and David, and seeing David treat Killian such as he does throughout this episode because for me... it makes for such a powerful storyline, and it makes the ending between them inside the mental hospital that much more impactful and emotional. Even though I also hate how David makes Killian feel so low and like he's so unworthy of Emma's love practically at every turn throughout this episode. Because Killian most certainly doesn't deserve David's coldness and even cruelty towards him at all. Killian just wants David to love him as a father loves a son. Or at the very least... for David to accept him and to not see him as the ruthless pirate he used to be. So heartbreaking. Most of all... I love Killian's words to David in the end when he saves David from killing King George, and seeing him comfort David when he completely breaks down. This moment between Killian and David is beautiful and heartbreaking. I love seeing Killian offer David comfort, in a way that we've never seen between these two men before. And I love seeing such emotion from David, whom we've seen has been breaking little by little for several episodes now. It was only a matter of time before he crashed. I absolutely love, love, love that's it's Killian who is there for him to pull him up again!! :) Also... I love the moment David thanks Killian for saving him from his terrible mistake, and then apologizes for putting his love with Emma at risk by forcing him to go against her for him. I especially love the moment Killian risks asking David for Emma's hand in marriage, only for David to tease him and then happily assure him that he has his blessing. And then... one final revelation comes when we learn that it was really Hook who had killed David's father way back when, when he was still the villainous Captain Hook. It's so tragic, and you can absolutely see the deep torment Killian immediately feels within his eyes and on his face when he looks down upon the book pages August gives to him in the ending, and suddenly recognizes the face of the unknown stranger he now remembers he had killed way back then. So tragic, but such a fabulous twist that I love very much, and love what's to come for Killian too!! In regards to Regina's and Wish Robin's storyline... I really enjoy everything between them too. From Regina and Robin sharing a kiss only for Regina to feel nothing as sad as this moment is, to Robin seeking to kill the Sheriff of Nottingham until Regina's stops him, and to finally seeing that Robin is now up to something upon him stealing a box of magic from Regina's vault for unknown reasons. Not good, but a fantastic storyline overall. Next... I also really love seeing August again and him being involved with helping David learn more about what happened to his father. I also love seeing Pleasure Island, and seeing Pinocchio as a puppet, who helps David's father find James. It is fabulous seeing a new world that is Pleasure Island, from the Disney movie, Pinocchio. And lastly, in regards to your frustrations towards Zelena... I agree that right now, and ever since the Underworld arc in season five, she is more annoying than anything else. Overall... I love really Zelena, especially as a villainess. Because I absolutely love her in season three's Wicked Witch arc, and there's good for her to come too... I promise. But right now... I am really not a fan of hers either. Just hang in there. Thank you again very much for another amazing reaction, Jessie!!! I am happy that you at least enjoyed this episode, and that you're excited for all that's to come for both Killian and David... two characters that are a couple of my favorite characters!!! For me... this episode shows the phenomenal story writing this show can bring us. I can't wait for you to continue on with more Once Upon a Time! :) Sincerely, Heidi

this episode definitely has a much slower build than previous ones, but i love it! i really enjoy getting to see this side of david. it’s one of those moments that reminds you that these hero’s that seem perfect are human too. i feel like it was so important to see this, and it gets me every time. josh does so well acting during the part where he chooses not to kill george. it gets me every time. thank you so much for this reaction, excited for the next!!❤️

"Why did he look at him like that?" Because you're reading too much into things again. :P I love this episode. The twist at the end is one of the best twists in all 7 seasons. I don’t believe that box has been featured before or has any significance other than containing some sort of magic that Robin needs for some reason. The coin didn't disintegrate when it hit the water. That was the spirit of his father evaporating after David reached some closure regarding his death.

you're right about pleasure Island being a part of d of Disney World. It's now called The landing. Pleasure Island is also a cursed island that's in the film Pinocchio. On the island theirs an amusement park with a Coachman. It's designed to turn mischievous, young boys into donkeys.

If Pinocchio is a wooden boy when David is 6, how old is he really? Was he a Wooden boy for a long time before he turned into a real boy? I like that James is in the animated Prince outfit lol David is really grinding my gears right now. I like that we are letting David have a breakdown. He deserves a good ugly cry. Hook's really become one of the best characters. Hook kind of became the "Father killer." All fathers beware. I don't think we need to know what that box is...
