I was thinking about telling you that this is kinda a two parter (even if the episodes aired a week apart) But I didn´t want to "spoil" anything or set expectations. But nice coincidence that you watched them back to back anyway. I love those 2 episodes. It´s great to dive more into Violet and Gilberts characters. As for how Violet lost the 2nd arm. It is implied that it was mostly blown off by the grenade that trapped them on the stairway. So it was basically just hanging on with a few nerves before it finally dropped off. Everything about this is so good, the pacing is amazing. And as I have warned, it is getting emotional. Violet ineffectively trying to... you know what... herself with her own hands is such a dark and desperate action. Really love how Erica and Iris support her and help her find a new appreciation for the work she is doing and the importance of letters. Seeing how Violet impacted everyone is also really nice. Those last few moments with Hodgins crying and Violet still questioning if she is allowed to live always hit me especially hard. Ah, amazing episode! And an amazing reaction!

This was definitely one of my favorite episodes of the series so far. It has a real nice balance of happy and sad, I also loved that Iris and Erica came back to help, It truly shows the ripple effect in how treating someone with kindness pays forward int he future.
