Regina has been Henry's one and only mother for his entire life. She adopted him as a newborn baby. This is the main thing I hate about Emma and both of her parents. They act like Emma, the woman who gave a little nameless baby boy up at birth has any say in the life of the child Henry who is legally Regina's son, and who was raised his entire life by Regina! Emma abducting Regina's son Henry without Regina's permission is NOT a good a idea, it is wrong and illegal!

Tiny- Thank you so much for another great reaction! I really love this episode. I love Tiny as a character a lot because he's so sweet and this poor giant was just so wanting to believe that not all humans were evil like his brothers claimed them to be. I love his love and fascination for all humans. It's an interesting take on the giants from the fairytale, Jack and the Beanstalk, especially with the twist on Jack from the legend of Jack the Giant Slayer. I love that Jack is a woman, and not a boy named Jack like in Jack and the Beanstalk. I definitely would have liked to learn more about her character too. She is very interesting. First... I appreciate that you paused the episode for the brief time so that you could share your thoughts with us, rather than talk over the episode so that you would have missed out on some of the scenes. So, I definitely would like for you to continue to pause the episode from now on if you have thoughts you wish to talk out throughout the episodes. Second, in answer to your question about how long Regina has been a mother to Henry... Regina has told Emma that she adopted him when he was just a baby, and she's spoken with Gold about this too. In The Thing You Love Most, it's revealed that Gold procured Henry for her when he was a baby. And now... Henry is ten years old. Maybe eleven by this point. So, Regina has been his adopted mother for ten years. Was Mary Margaret's comment towards Regina about Emma not needing to run anything by her a bit harsh... yes. I think so too. And yes... they are all now trying to work things out and work together on how to raise Henry with two mothers in his life, so that he can be involved with both of them. However, ever since the fiasco with everyone believing Regina killed Archie and everyone accusing her of doing so, Regina has been hiding for a few weeks now I believe it was said. Maybe just a week or a few days... I'm not exactly sure. But long enough for the Charmings to be worried about Regina plotting against them, which also means that Emma deserves sole custody of Henry because Regina is now reverting back into her evil self. And this would be a very bad environment for Henry to be raised in. Mary Margaret also does mention that she and David have been trying to find her and contact her for these last few days too, and have been unsuccessful. So, they wouldn't have been able to tell Regina about Henry going out of town with Emma anyways. Now... I love how in the end, Grumpy and the rest of the dwarfs happily welcome Tiny to Storybrooke and made him one of their brothers. I love how he is given a dwarfs ax from the dwarfs, that gives him the name that his brothers used to call him, officially making him one of the dwarfs. Now... Tiny has a family again and I absolutely love it! :) Next... I too really love the ending moment between Mary Margaret and David as they're being so cute with one another while talking about having fun that day. And like you... I absolutely understand both of their points of view about whether or not they should return to the Enchanted Forest or remain in Storybrooke. I agree that David's mention of Emma and how she'll be fine without them should they leave and Emma refuse to go back with them, is strange and off putting. However, I don't think that he meant this the way it might have sounded. I suspect that David would be perfectly happy living in Storybrooke if this is what everyone decides they all want to do. But because he's heard the dwarfs and pretty much everyone else say that they feel as he does about wanting to return to the Enchanted Forest... David just wants what is best for his people. He wants to be with everyone and not separated. And if everyone were to choose to return to the Enchanted Forest, he believes that as their kingdom's Prince, or rather King now with Snow being Princess and Queen, it would be their duty to return with them. What I am trying to say, is that I believe Charming is only saying that should they return to the Enchanted Forest with their people, he believes that Emma will be fine without them if she were to refuse to join them. There's no way that he wants to leave his daughter no more than Mary Margaret does. He just believes in Emma's strength to take care of herself should they have to leave her behind again, to once again do what is best for their people and their kingdom. I hope all of this makes sense. As for Anton's (Tiny) backstory... I really love seeing how it came about that he is all alone as we saw from this season's episode... Tallahassee, when Emma and Hook enters the giants' castle. We already knew what came of Jack from Tallahassee upon seeing her bones lying beside her poisoned sword that had killed the rest of the giants, and we knew that the giants were all dead aside from Anton. However, I love that we are able to see it come about and see how Jack died. Even though this big battle wasn't done as well as it could have been, had the show been given a larger budget for them to hire other actors to play the rest of the humans we learned fought in this battle against the other giants who were all killed off screen. However, I love the overall storyline and learning what really comes of the giants and why Tiny really hates all humans so much. Also... I love that James is a part of this story. I have always wanted to learn more about David's twin, ever since he had first been introduced back in season one's episode... The Shepherd. It's great to see more with David's twin brother again, and to see just how smug and a douche he is, setting him well apart from David. James was absolutely a jerk! I also really enjoy the tragic storyline with James and Jack together, and that they sadly play on Anton's love for humans and their artifacts in order to attack and kill all the giants, but one, and for their treasure. Anton stopped him from getting their magic beans by destroying them all and salting the fields, but James still escaped with lots of gold, and cruelly leaves Jack behind to die. What a jerk! But as tragic as Anton's story is, I love his and James' storyline, and seeing King George too once again. Also... I love that the reveal of Anton being asked to destroy all the magic beans and their fields by salting the grounds, explains why magic beans in their world are now non existent like the Blue Fairy reveals to both Baelfire and to Rumplestiltskin back in season one's episode... The Return. And as been mentioned on and off throughout other episodes as well. Also... I really love how David is willing to turn himself over to Anton in order to protect the lives of everyone else in Storybrooke, then how he saves Anton's life with Mary Margaret's, Granny's, Red's, Grumpy's, and the rest of the dwarfs' help. This helps Anton to see that David is not James, and that once again, not all humans are evil. Oh... I absolutely love the brief moment where David and Grumpy are arguing about David's name being David, James, and Charming at different points in his life while they were running from Anton. So funny. And yes... David's true name and cursed name were both always David, given that his false memories came to him and effected him differently when the curse fell over them, since he was unconscious at the time the curse took them from their land and brought them to Storybrooke. Therefore, his false memories didn't have the proper time to effect David by distorting his true memories enough like it did with everyone else. I hope all of this makes sense to you. Charming was the nickname Snow gave him, and David pretended to be James back when he and Snow first met because he was forced to be so once the real James died, so long as King George was under and alliance with King Midas from their neighboring kingdom. Finally, it's clear that his real name really is just David, just as he was when he was cursed. I suspect that this is also because the curse didn't affect David right away like it did everyone else, and therefore it didn't change his name. What a brilliant and hilarious reveal. :) Next... I really love the scenes with Hook and the heroes aboard the Jolly Roger, as well as his scene with Regina. Hook is definitely always great no matter which other characters he deals with at any point in the show. I love how smug he is and how he continues to flirt with Mary Margaret much to David's frustration, like he flirts with any woman around. Hook loves to irritate and to push people to their limits to no end. It's a despicable trait for men when they do so believing fully that women like their crude behavior. However, Hook doesn't do it because he thinks and acts like they do, or in believing his flirtations work on Mary Margaret, Emma, or any other woman. He does so simply to irritate Charming, as well as the rest of the heroes simply for the fun of it. That's what sets him apart from the other men who act this way. As for Regina suddenly becoming all evil again, and the heroes' treatment of her... I feel that this overall storyline between Regina, her mother, Henry, and the heroes, from this episode and onward, most definitely could have been done differently and in a better way. In all honesty... I find it more annoying than the things I do really like or love from what's to come. I really don't like that Regina is so suddenly evil again and on her mother's side, even though I can understand it to some degree. In this second half of the season, it just feels to me like the creators and writers have seemed to forget how to write Regina's character, or that they didn't really know what to do with her. And it is a little frustrating at times. But with all of this being said... I also get the idea of the storyline like it is in the show and while I don't care much for Cora myself, I still like this overall storyline as well because of some of what's to come. And lastly... I enjoy the storyline between Gold, Emma, and Henry a lot too. I love how Gold is deeply vulnerable outside of Storybrooke, now that he has no magic and is completely out of his comfort zone. It is definitely a different side of him and Robert Carlyle plays this role so well. I also like how Emma is there to help Gold too. And in regards to Gold having to remove the shawl, and becoming effected by being outside of their world without it... Magic doesn't exist outside of Storybrooke. Which is why Gold is so shaken and powerless. And it's why Belle and anyone who crosses the town line loses all memory of who they are. However, I believe that because Emma is the Savior and she was born of True Love, it has allowed for her to emulate her power and strength into him enough to help him long enough through the security checkpoint, as she holds onto him as much as she was able to. This is why Gold didn't lose his memories all the way like Belle and Sneezy did. Had Emma not been there, Gold would have lost his memories like the others. And as for why Gold seems so upset and uptight to the point of anger... it's because he's never been in the outside world, outside of Storybrooke, so everything is new to him, and he's extremely nervous. And he's now without magic, which as we know, Gold has used it like his life depends on it, which in a way it does. So being without magic again makes him feel incredibly uneasy. Like Gold told Belle back in this season's episode... The Crocodile, Gold has come to depend on magic, as it has become a crutch to him that he can't let go of. So for him, being now without magic... he is terrified and he hates it. And on top of all that... like we saw back in season one's episode... The Return, when he believed August to be his son, we saw just how afraid Gold is to see his son again. Gold has no idea how Baelfire will react to seeing him again. So he's as much afraid to actually find him again, as he is longing to do so. And Henry is so sweet to want to help him. Oh... and I also love how Emma demands that Henry come along with them in the beginning too. Gold may be more powerful than her, but she's not too afraid to stand up to him. And I also really love David's plea for him to protect his daughter and grandson as well. Overall... I enjoy this episode very much, and I loved your reaction for it. I love Tiny. Now... I'm excited for the next episode. Thank you so much again, Jessie! Until next time... Sincerely, Heidi

Hook didn't make it into Season 1 of the Series, Unfortunately due to Diseny conflicts arose. They were having trouble releasing the Character. But turned OUAT to be a welcome to the lead Cast. & Colin became just as exciting, & wild card, who also became a Oncer favorite, that his short arc was lengthened to the point, Writers loved him, & enjoyed writing for this most amazing, Pirate Villain, who strived to get his Revenge, & needed anti Charming Punk, who just charmed everyone, the minute he came on Set. 😍🤭😲😏 Naughty, & cute, Hook made everyone Hooked. Pun intended. Thank you Jessie.

This was fun. I think pausing is a good idea; it will let you discuss more without missing what happens in the episode. Of course, like magic, it will come with a price. There will probably be a time when you'll pause, spend several minutes predicting what's going to happen, and then resume only to see five seconds later that everything you predicted was wrong! We've all done that! A couple of clarifications. Back in the pilot, Regina mentioned that she adopted Henry when he was three weeks old. He's now eleven, so she's been his mom for essentially his entire life. Also, Rumple didn't lose magic because he took off the shawl. Remember that back at the end of Season One, he brought magic to Storybrooke because there is no magic in our world. So his magic can't work when he is outside of Storybrooke, because there is no magic there. That's part of the reason he is so upset. He has depended upon magic for centuries and now he is without it. It's also the first time he has ever been in the real world. And he's worried about finding his son. As we saw last season when he thought August might be Bae, he was worried about whether or not his son would forgive him.

i love when the show throws in backstory episodes when things start to get intense. though everyone may not agree, i feel like it’s a good break while giving us a lot of good info. as you have noticed, they throw in hints and clues to other storylines within early episodes. this one was referred to in tallahassee, when we see jack’s bones lying next to the sword and hook tells the little story about them fighting. i love that we got to see it, and loved how they tied it in!! also i really love the detail of seeing jack dying because in 2x06, we saw the bones lying in the same position, with the sword, untouched. for some reason ive always really loved this detail 😂 great reaction, and the next episode is definitely a fan favorite for season 2, can’t wait!!❤️

David’s real name is David. Leroy said “David? Your curse name?” And he said “no, it’s my real name”. He was David in the Enchanted Forest. His brother’s name was James and when David was to impersonate his brother he took on the name James as well, but it was obviously not his real name.

I agree….Mary Margaret’s only issue IS Emma. They have been in as much danger in Storybrooke (ironically since Emma arrived) as they were in the Enchanted Forest, so location really isn’t the issue. I don’t think David meant anything more than Emma is a super strong woman who can take care of her self, but there are a lot of times when “Charming’s” comments come off “David”-like. At the same time, Snow has a bad habit of treating Emma like she’s the little girl that Snow never got to raise. Snow has to come to grips with the fact that Emma is a grown adult whose parents put her in a magical wardrobe and left her alone her entire life…Emma is not only independent and strong, but a bit bitter and good at being alone. I think a lot of Snow’s over-mothering is guilt and, although David seems cold, he may be a bit better on the parent side and why Emma is more of a daddy’s girl…but that’s just my opinion. And, as always, Heidi is spot on…Rumple is now in a land without magic and he just can’t handle it. Plus, I would add that he has spent a LOT of time looking for his son, and now that the time is finally here, I think he is both scared and unprepared. He doesn’t know what to say, he doesn’t know how he’ll be received, and he doesn’t even know if his son is an old man who will remember him (remember when he thought August might be Bae, he thought he was there to kill him). Oh, and please pause away!

Thanks for clarifying! That actually Rumples whole entire situation a lot more intense and relatable! Being in the real world not knowing how to deal with his emotions and feeling so vulnerable.

Omg to be honest I had forgotten that we saw Jack’s bones! Just another reason to never disregard anything shown because it’s shown for a reason!! I also love that they threw us off and made Jack a woman LOL the twists that they do to make it their own are so incredible and end up being some of my favorite fairytale versions!

Jessie Dobbie Reactions

Charmings comments definitely come off David like, perfectly said LOL But that’s a great point, Mary Margaret seems to be holding on to her childhood that is now on the past and I think it’s going to be very difficult for her to let that go! I can’t wait to see more interactions with Bae and Rumple, that story is definitely one of my most anticipated to have play out!!
