I find it ironic how alot of reactors can immediately point out what Daphne did wrong (skipping over the fact that Simon took advantage of her obvious ignorance and lied to her from the beginning) yet also all side with Marina who was straight up using and lying to Colin and trying to trap him in a loveless marriage (he thought he loved her but she never loved him) and pass her illegitimate love child with another man off as his child and responsibility! And to add insult to injury these reactors vilify Pen for siding with the friend she has known her whole life (and is in love with) who is being victimized over the bit** she has known for a couple months.

Simon def took advantage of Daphne, but she straight up SA'd him! That relationship was so toxic, but I'm glad they are both happy now lol The thing about sympathizing with Marina is that she's making these choices because she's doing anything she has to to survive, while the Bridgerton's are making these choices becuase they simple can. Doesn't make either side right, but it looks more villainous from the side that won't have as much of a threat to their existence as the other side would.
