I´ll never be able to hear "Owner of a Lonely Heart" again without thinking of this episode... Timeloops are fun! And we got more backstory for Charles. Very cool little detail, during the first time they watch the murders you can faintly hear Charles´s voice saying something like "stop it please" like he is pleading with his father to stop hitting him. By the way, you just saw the librarian from this episode in Lucifer! That was Candy Morningstar! As for Edwin not knowing about Charles´s abuse. They are best friends, but I think they are also very closed off about their individual trauma. Like Charles knows Edwin was in Hell, but Edwin probably never went into details about what he experienced. And Charles never disclosed just how bad his family situation was. Both of them would rather repress this stuff instead of opening up and talking about it.
