So the title/song for this episode! This is probably one of my favorite songs when talking about the context of it, as I used to read the original book series as a kid. Anpanman is a Japanese cartoon superhero whose head is red-bean bread. Instead of having super strength or speed or powers, he feeds starving people by giving them a piece of his head. He also has great hearing, so he can hear anyone calling for him in the world. The song has several chants of “Waiting for you, Anpanman!” calling for the superhero. In general the song is BTS saying they may not have superpowers or be super powerful, but they will be there to protect people. However, it is also an anthem for ‘unsung heroes’. Often when they perform this song, their costumes are things like construction men, firefighters, service workers, etc. Relating this to the episode, Anpanman was shown as the stuffed animal that Jooan went back to his house to get. I think this tells a lot. Jooan obviously loves Anpanman and maybe for two different reasons. First, maybe Anpanman is what he always imagined would come save him. Second, maybe it’s who Jooan wishes he could be, specifically for his friends and his father. Even for the kitten. We have seen him try to be a ‘hero’ for his father and kitten, just by giving them basic ‘needs’, just like Anpanman does. I also thought it was very interesting that this is the episode we learn about Jooan’s deafness, and I can’t help but think about Anpanman’s characteristic of having incredible hearing. There was actually a hint of Jooan not being able to hear from his left ear in episode two when he says that Cein’s earphones were broken in the left ear as he takes them from him. Cein is confused for a moment, but then is distracted when they all start goofing around when Jooan accidentally spits on the pizza. A very subtle hint. I was a bit disappointed in Cein’s father for not defending his wife in that last scene. Cein was obviously starting to get angry, but so should have the father, instead of trying to 'apologize' or whatever to the principal. The test answer thing also makes me sad because we see Dogeon working so hard and getting great grades, and his rank may change based on these more privileged students cheating. And Dogeon actually needs it. It's obviously not it’s Hwan’s fault, he was pressured into it, but it’s just sad.

So some information we know so far about the fire from the beginning flashbacks: -Episode 1: Cein is outside the house with the neighbors when the firemen arrive -Episode 2: Hosu 'blacked out' and had oil on him -Episode 3: Jeha was tracking Cein on his phone (which was actually hinted at him still doing in present timewhen he makes a random comment in episode 2 about Cein leaving school early that he brushes off when the others ask how he knew), we also see Jeha having the key to Cein's house and going in, he then runs out and makes it to the street right as the fire starts Episode 4: Jooan was asked by someone on the phone to distract Cein for a few seconds, but doesn't seem to know it's connected to the fire. I definitely agree that the principal and Mr. Kim are very suspicious....
