I’m definitely with you on this! They were 100% abused in my eyes. And I truly think anyone who says otherwise is just hell-bent on them being “evil” or haven’t actually see any of the evidence. I watched the trial years ago and some of the biggest pieces of evidence that made me believe them 100% that wasn’t shown in this documentary was: 1. (like Roze said) there were naked photos of the boys found under their parents’ bed. The one of Erik was actually the blurred photo Erik’s defense attorney was sticking thumbtacks into during the closing arguments. To show what Jose would do. 2. There was a medical record of Erik having “internal throat bruising” in the emergency room when he was 8, which the expert witnesses said was a specific injury doctors and dentists now look out for in abused children. 3 . Lyle’s old college roommate told a reporter RIGHT after they were arrested that he and Lyle connected over the fact they both had been sexually molested as children. During the trial, the roommate said the conversation never happened but they had it on recording proving the conversation happened. This goes against a lot of the theories of the brothers using the years awaiting trial to make up an “excuse”. There is definitely a lot more evidence that also makes it obvious what the truth is.

Also, it is absolutely insane how the courts handled this. They were just trying to get a conviction and the brothers are the ones suffering from that still. It was wrong to kill their parents, and THEY agree to that, but life without parole was too harsh.
