Hey guys.. I've been away for quite some time now.

But I'm not dead and I didn't give up on making vore games.

I moved and I'm still at uni. Uni and life in general just take so much of my time.

While moving, my pc got damaged.. I lost all 3D models I made so far and like 3 updates of the game.. Should have backed it up more frequently.

Well, I don't think it's so much of a bad thing. You know I always felt like A Way Back Home ist not what it could have been. I basically tried to make a game for the first time and this game is what came ouf of it. And it became very big very fast, with me pumping out more and more scenes. For a couple of months I've been thinking how much better of a game I could make if I started a new game. All the experience I've gathered with making AWayBackHome would allow me to make a much much better game.

So.. If you guys are with me, I could start a new game and we'd have a lot of polls before I'd start working on the game. Like how will our main char look like? Where is she going to live? With whom? My idea is to have an open world, similar to AWayBackHome but all quests will have quest logs to make it easier to follow them. I'll also add a bunch of plugins to make the game a better experienve. There could be a morning/day/evening/night cycle.

I'm also going to hire a voice actress and an artist to make good sprites for the characters

I could also just make a completely new version of AWayBackHome? Start from the start and give Pri another chance?

I know that's a lot. I hope you're not too upset that I want to start from scratch.

There aren't many finished vore games, so I would feel disappointed if A Way Back Home was yet another entry on the list of games that are forever unfinished. What are your thoughts on continuing A Way Back Home with what you've learned so far, and then improving the earlier bits after?

oppi

In my opinion, the game is already way too big to do that, I will never be able to improve the earlier parts. If I would do a remake of AWayBackHome we would still have our fox girl and her story to work with and the result would be a new improved version of AWayBackHome.

I know it sound selfish, but I really wish you wouldn't abandon this game. I'd prefer a few updates meant solely to rework on some of the previous parts if that meant it could eventually continue.

Abandoning a project can be difficult but at the same time sometimes it's the best thing one can do. Of the unfinished vore games I've seen the majority of them were abandon because a loss of motivation or lack of finances to make it as well as you want or your players want. Both starting it over from scratch and possibly making a new games are both fair and viable options. And I don't think you'd be abandoning the game if you're starting back to square one with it. You're just applying what you've learned to improve the story and experience.

Eric

I say redo A way back home just off the fact the story isn't finished.

Glad to see your back and doing well, was worried something had happened.

I would like to see a new version of A way back home then going the route of a totally new game.

I think it might be a worthwhile endeavor to simply wrap-up A Way Back Home now, try to finish any loose ends you can and put an ending in it. But creating a new game is definitely my vote. I'd love to be a real part of it with polls and suggestions, see a real community driven game come forth with a larger scope on possibility, with many different creatures and types of vore and play. A new game, one that can be more than what AWayBackHome could ever be, is definitely my vote.

Would you still be able to do the last update (vampire/halloween one) as promised?

Gamma_470

Sounds like that update and everything after Oppi switched to 3d models was lost when the computer was damaged, so probably not. Which is a shame, since I was looking forward to it.

oppi

Everything related to the vampire/halloween update was lost sadly.. I'll try to make up for it with the new game I'll be working on from now on.

Well it is good to see you back, and I do think starting again could have some potential as you had improved a lot since the start of the last game. I will miss Pri though.
