In the mid-80s, Ric& went to an Andy Warhol signing of Interview Magazine/Halloween costume contest. Ric& was dressed as Dolly Parton (bed pillows stuffed in for hips and tits and 2 blonde wigs) and his escort was all punked out in leather. They were in a long line along Connecticut Ave in DC waiting to get into the Llamda Rising book store. Andy craned his neck down the line and sent a staffer out to retrieve Ric& to inform him he had won a prize. Ric& asked. "What about my friend?" They both went in to meet Andy, who autographed a can of Campbell's Tomato Soup among a bag of stash. Andy also signed Rkc&'s friend's shirt. Andy was absolute dead pan the entire night, but when he looked up at Ric& a smile cracked along his face. An enjoyable time was had by all.

We heard that Andy put together the Velvet Undergroud to promote Nico and project movies upon. Lou Reed put out the album, Metal Machine Music in 1975 that was 2 LPS of feedback. The liner notes are the chemical formula and diagram of meth. Surprisingly it was taken off the market after 3 weeks. Thank heavens, the Getmans, high on Knoppers, released it on cd.
