WGC: Prophecy of the Realmtraveler (Patreon)

This is for a writing challenge in a Telegram group I joined (link here if you're interested: https://t.me/joinchat/TXMB1RU1ETeKOakg). At just over a thousand words, we would write a short story fitting a chosen theme. The new theme for this week is, "The prophecy was vague enough that nobody could figure out if it was a good thing or... something else."

Welcome to Anthraea, a fantasy world you might see more of in the future. This is a furry fantasy setting with an isekai twist, and in this setting, there's nine races; foxes, wolves, folvens (fox/wolf hybrids), bears, dragons, kobolds, hares, otters, and the dire jaguars. The term 'folven' refers to a fox/wolf hybrid, which have been slowly growing in population compared to the other two species.
