Hey guys, I've been seriously thinking about making a Suscribestar account. I'm not going to delete or leave this platform of course but I feel SS handle in a better way certain aspects such as VAT and could be a nice alternative for those who don't like to deal with such issues but still want to support my work.

What do you think? Does any of you have experience using SS or any issue here on patreon in regard the payments, bank account, etc ?

I know most of you don't have problems but in the past two months I noticed a few patrons left and in the exit survey they mentioned VAT and taxes other similar issues, that's what I'm a bit worried about.

Personally I dont have any issues with patreon, thus I like this platform. But if you feel its good to have multiple platforms for supporters then I say go for it! You can catch more fish with a bigger net, and as long as you keep posting here I'm happy 😊

I am pretty neutral, had no issues, but I know Patreon can be a bit touchy. As far as I am concerned, I see art I like, I will donate with whatever means is open to me

I know for one thing that SubscribeStar tends to be a lot more content agnostic, for lack of better phrasing. You're far less likely to get content flagged as morally objectionable despite it being entirely fiction, so I support SubscribeStar as an alternative. I do wish they had a mobile app, and that their update emails actually had some of the content from the posts, but at least their mobile web page has some sanity in its style sheet and doesn't cause the page to fail looking at posts that are too old like in Patreon.

The only issue I have had with SS is that they will bill you at the time of subscription (i.e. if I sub to you on the 5th I pay on the 5th; if I sub to someone else on the 10th then I get billed on the 5th for you and 10th for them). I prefer the Patreon approach where it is billed all at once at a specific date.

Yeah I'm a bit worried about patreon getting more strict towards nsfw contet. At the moment everything seems to be arlight but who knows... the may pull an OnlyFans move any time :/

If it's not too much of a hassle to post everything twice, I think you should go for it. <br>It's always nice to have alternatives, if the "hurr durr porn bad" morale hammer gets swung around again.
