🚑 Part I: https://youtu.be/O0EOpVRWJv4 It has been several months since Emily’s accident. Her broken arm has healed, and she is no longer on a ventilator. The bones in her neck have healed also and the halo has been removed as well. Her once shattered ankle is also cast free, but now in a supportive splint. Even better, she has regained some feeling and use off her body. While still paralyzed from her lower back down, she can at least use her arms and some core chest muscles. Early one morning the nurse arrives to start Emily on the next phase of her rehabilitation. After checking on Emily, the nurse brings her the new set of custom HKAFO’s that she will need to walk again. The nurse helps get Emily, still bed ridden and weak, into them. Several adjustments and tightening’s and Emily is ready to stand for the first time since her accident. Emily is nervous yet excited about finally being able to stand again! After getting her balance, and a short rest, the nurse helps Emily learn to walk/shuffle in with the aid of a walker. They slowly make their way down the halls of the clinic. Emily soon tires, and the nurse helps her sit and rest. Once Emily has recovered, the nurse has her try to use crutches with her HKAFO’s. 🚑 If you would like to support us and engage more with us then please join our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/BracedLife (Disclaimer: Any injuries or accidents in videos are not real.
